The ideal candidate brings deep procurement and strategic sourcing experience within HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical services, building services, industrial distribution, construction trades, or a closely related equipment- and materials-intensive industry. This role requires a leader who understands the complexities of managing direct materials, equipment, parts, supplier relationships, distributor networks, and multi-location purchasing environments. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and execute an enterprise-wide procurement and strategic sourcing strategy aligned with business growth and value-creation objectives. • Lead category strategies across direct materials, equipment, parts, services, and indirect spend. • Identify opportunities to consolidate spend and leverage enterprise purchasing power across multiple operating businesses. • Lead complex supplier and vendor negotiations focused on cost savings, pricing, service levels, commercial terms, and supply continuity. • Develop and manage strategic relationships with key manufacturers, OEMs, distributors, and supply partners. • Establish preferred supplier programs, procurement policies, purchasing controls, and governance frameworks. • Develop supplier performance metrics, scorecards, and formal vendor review processes. • Drive measurable cost savings, margin improvement, and procurement efficiency initiatives. • Analyze enterprise spend and purchasing patterns to identify sourcing, consolidation, and standardization opportunities. • Optimize rebate, incentive, volume purchasing, and supplier program opportunities. • Improve preferred-vendor compliance and reduce off-contract or non-standard purchasing. • Partner with finance and operations to improve inventory performance, cash flow, and working capital. • Evaluate equipment, product, and SKU standardization opportunities to reduce complexity and carrying costs. • Manage supply chain and input-cost risks related to key materials, equipment, market pricing, tariffs, and supplier availability. • Support acquisition integration by evaluating supplier agreements, identifying procurement synergies, and implementing enterprise purchasing strategies. • Partner with business leaders across a decentralized organization to balance local operational needs with enterprise procurement objectives. • Develop procurement dashboards and KPIs focused on savings, supplier performance, compliance, and category spend. • Implement and optimize procurement systems, processes, workflows, and analytics. • Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on supplier markets, pricing pressures, procurement risks, and sourcing opportunities. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Operations, or a related field. • 10+ years of progressive procurement, purchasing, strategic sourcing, or supply chain experience. • 4+ years of experience leading enterprise-level sourcing or procurement initiatives. • Proven experience negotiating complex, enterprise-level supplier and vendor agreements. • Experience managing direct materials, equipment, parts, or other operationally critical spend categories. • Strong experience partnering with OEMs, manufacturers, distributors, and strategic suppliers. • Experience supporting a multi-site, multi-location, multi-business-unit, or decentralized organization. • Advanced analytical, financial, contract negotiation, and supplier management skills. • Experience managing supplier incentives, rebates, volume purchasing programs, or strategic purchasing agreements. • Experience with procurement, ERP, spend analytics, or supplier management platforms. • Must have procurement, purchasing, strategic sourcing, or supply chain experience within one or more of the following industries: HVAC or HVAC distribution, Plumbing or plumbing distribution, Electrical services or electrical distribution,, Mechanical services or mechanical contracting, Building or facilities services, Construction trades or specialty contracting Equipment- or materials-intensive field services A bit about us: - We are a rapidly growing, PE backed services organization building a leading brands across commercial services industry.
