Design, build, and improve application features using Ruby on Rails and React with TypeScript, support debugging and QA, and collaborate with UX and product teams. | Some experience with React or Ruby on Rails, familiarity with relational databases and Git, strong communication, and preferred exposure to AWS, service-oriented architectures, testing frameworks, and TypeScript. | Description: • Collaborate with teammates to design, build, and improve features that enhance our applications’ usability, performance, and reliability. • Write clean, testable code in Ruby on Rails and React with TypeScript, learning best practices through code reviews and mentorship. • Support debugging, troubleshooting, and QA efforts to ensure smooth deployments. • Work with UX designers and product managers to deliver user‑friendly solutions. Requirements: • BS in Computer Science or a related field preferred, but not required. Hands-on experience from internships, bootcamps, or open‑source projects will also be considered. • Some experience with modern web application development (React, Ruby on Rails, or similar). • Familiarity with relational databases and basic SQL queries (e.g., PostgreSQL or MySQL). • Familiarity with Git and version control workflows (e.g., GitHub or GitLab). • Strong communicator and collaborative team player. • Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools and technologies to improve workflows, enhance decision-making, or drive innovation. • This position is preferably based in Austin, Texas. • Preferred: Exposure to AWS or other cloud platforms. • Preferred: Familiarity with service-oriented architectures. • Preferred: Familiarity with testing frameworks (e.g., RSpec, Jest, or Cypress). • Preferred: Exposure to TypeScript for frontend (React) or backend (NestJS) development.
