Performing cleaning, maintenance, and safety tasks to maintain building cleanliness and safety. | No prior experience required; physical ability and knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment are necessary. | JANITOR - IRVINGTON Summary Maintain buildings in a clean and orderly condition by performing heavy cleaning duties, routine maintenance, and ensuring safety. Responsibilities include cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, removing rubbish, and clearing snow or debris from sidewalks. Perform training and auditing of janitorial staff to ensure cleanliness standards and safety protocols are met. | Experience in janitorial cleaning preferred, with strong decision-making, communication, and organizational skills. | Janitorial Trainer - Quality Auditor SUMMARY The Janitorial Trainer - Quality Auditor will work with cleaning personnel to check work performed by janitorial crew to ensure their performance meets the cleanliness standards required. Support team with training to maintain a clean and orderly building. They ensure adherence to facility cleaning standards efficiently and effectively, with a focus on safety and operational excellence. This role reports directly to the Site Manager and may require flexible working hours. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES • Interface with tenants and client representatives as needed. • Perform training on housekeeping activities including routine cleaning, restroom maintenance, floor care, and waste removal. • Audit and Inspect work to ensure cleaning standards are met and provide feedback for improvement. • Implement and enforce safety protocols and training for cleaning staff. • Maintain workplace organization standards within assigned areas. • Perform daily auditing, training with crew ensuring all tasks are completed to standard. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES • Perform assigned duties. • Travel from location to location (greater NY City & NJ areas) KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS • Janitorial Cleaning Experience Preferred • Focus on maintaining a safe work environment. • Availability for 24/7 issue resolution outside regular hours. • Strong decision-making skills, considering costs and benefits. • Attention to detail and effective communication. • Critical thinking to assess and solve problems. • Active listening skills and effective oral and written communication. • Organizational skills to manage schedules and resources effectively.
