We are seeking an Application Engineer II to join the IT Financial Systems Support team in the firm. An Engineer II in the IT Financial Systems Support department owns, or has equivalent experience owning, one or more products end-to-end and working with various teams to support it. This person has a demonstrated ability for working with project managers, vendors and development teams to deploy the most complete solution possible to the end users. Because there is no team above them in the support stack, they are also responsible for assisting those support teams should they be unable to find a solution to an issue. This person has demonstrated experience training support staff, writing documentation and knowledge base articles to prevent unneeded escalations. Specific Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To • Assist with installation, configuration, upgrading, patching, and maintenance of Elite 3E and related programs, servers, modules, and integrated systems. • Troubleshoot problems related to software performance and functionality. • Write and support scripts to facilitate reporting and administrative functions. • Assist performing data analysis to facilitate identifying and resolving issues and problems. • Develop and document operational procedures and processes for maintenance and support. • Assist with data integration and data migration activities. • Contribute to requirements gathering and solution design. • Develop visual architecture diagrams for deployed solutions or solutions being built. • Perform testing functions on all financial related systems. • Provide technical mentoring and training to lower support levels. • Write SQL queries to support applications as needed. • Effectively manages and communicates confidential issues. • Flexibility to work beyond the typical work day as required; evenings, weekends, etc. Knowledge, Skills And Abilities • Required: • Three or more years of experience with financial/accounting software is required. • Experience planning and accomplishing goals while performing a variety of complicated tasks in a fast-paced work environment is required. • Good communication and interpersonal skills with technical and non-technical colleagues is required. • Experience with one or more PC or server operating systems, database solutions or web or cloud servers is required. • Experience working with vendors on requirements, development and product deployments is required. • Proficient with SQL • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment. • Proactively identify issues, make timely decisions and escalate issues engaging manager support when needed. • Desirable: • Experience supporting Elite 3E or other financial/accounting systems. • Experience with Elite 3E IDE. • Experience with Elite 3E Templates. • Experience with Intapp Integration Builder, Boomi or similar application. • Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI tools. • Experience working with SFTP clients, Microsoft Hybrid Connection Manager • Basic understanding of n-tier application design, network (LAN, WAN, DMZ, Firewall) topologies and web or cloud services. • Experience working with or as a Project Manager and Business Analyst. • Experience writing technical documentation and training others. • Basic understanding of systems administration and automation tools including shell scripting, and PowerShell languages. • Basic understanding of or the ability to communicate application programming techniques, design patterns or frameworks is desirable. Education • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science , Accounting or equivalent work experience in a related field. The Lead, Executive and Internal Communications, partners closely with the Director, Internal and Executive Communications to craft and execute the firm’s executive and internal communications strategy across a complex, multi-stakeholder environment. This role is built for a strong communicator with excellent editorial and technical skills, creativity, high emotional intelligence, and the drive to grow into broader scope and responsibility over time. The Lead will lead day-to-day communications delivery, manage core channels and initiatives, and translate strategy, narrative, and changes into high-quality, timely, and consistent communications across the firm. The Lead will also have the opportunity to help shape the firm’s internal communications infrastructure, serving as editor-in-chief of the firm’s new internal newsletter and project managing the firm’s intranet refresh.
