This position has responsibility for all accounting financial systems and works directly with the Finance department managers, supervisors, and staff to support and further automate the financial systems within the firm. This position has broad responsibility for the functional management of the Firm’s financial information systems. The primary objectives for this position are to ensure that all finance and finance-related modules are properly implemented, are working effectively and efficiently; staff are trained in the use of the system; the data has integrity; proper security is in place to prevent unauthorized access and processing; and testing of systems upgrades are performed. This position is the liaison between Finance and IT representing the Finance team at all related meetings, and Finance and external vendors/consultants. Responsibilities also include the coordination of efforts with the IT Department to support the applications. This position is responsible for the project management of technology related projects related to the Finance function. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead and manage projects and the system development life cycle; review, clarify, and/or test deliverables prepared in conjunction with the finance team before providing the final product to stakeholders. Work with Finance to define requirements, conduct needs analysis, determine project specifications, identify solutions, and implement recommendations. Work with Directors, Managers, Stakeholders, and end users to create, implement, and document project specifications, project plans, and business processes and procedures with an emphasis on developing efficient procedures and methods to increase productivity by streamline processes. Update, modify, test, and/or repair existing software systems and propose innovative solutions to problems. Provide functional and technical analysis and documentation related to the design, development, and implementation of software systems and reports. Develop test strategies, tools, and systems. Oversee, design, track, and safely introduce modifications to the systems. Maintain and support existing Finance and Accounting applications. Act as liaison between the Finance and Technology department and vendors/consultants. Learn related tables / data structure and all aspects of the financial and related systems. Design and perform ad hoc queries, financial and operational reporting, and analysis. Maintain working knowledge of system associations and data logic flow. Create or update and test functional specifications for new or modified reports and applications. Apply accounting and auditing principles and techniques to ensure that data integrity, internal controls, and audit trails are maintained throughout all applications. Ensure data integrity and accuracy across all financial applications, inquiries, ad-hoc reporting and systems. Keep abreast of changing and emerging technologies which support and enhance business operations and present to appropriate members of the finance department. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Information Systems required. 7+ years of related experience is required. Must have project and group leadership experience. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus. Including experience leading projects. Strong accounting/systems skills including accounting principles, financial analysis, and common accounting terminology. Ability to train new users of the financial systems. Continuously improve the financial systems documentation and process flows. Candidates should have strong MS Office skills, including Excel VBA, experience with relational databases, data validation and report writing; SQL (SSRS), Power BI and financial data systems and data visualization preferred. Must be well organized, work independently, comprehend business requirements, and proactively identify systems and reporting capabilities to address those requirements. Ability to work independently and collaborate with creativity and vision. Proactive with demonstrated troubleshooting, problem resolution, and follow-through skills to manage multiple and diverse projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, detail-oriented work environment. Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, and an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams. The Senior HRIS Analyst is a key functional and technical team member responsible for supporting and optimizing the Workday system and related tools, processes, and data. As a subject matter expert in multiple Workday areas, the Senior HRIS Analyst will use their advanced skills and expertise to meet cross-functional firm goals and objectives using the Workday platform. This role provides opportunities to lead cross-functional projects, influence the organization's HR technology strategy, and take on professional development initiatives. High-performing individuals will have the potential to advance into HRIS leadership positions. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Act as a product owner of one or more components of Workday, ensuring accurate configuration and business process design for all assigned areas. • Respond to assigned support cases in a timely manner, proactively communicating to business users and collaborating with other HRIS team members as required. • Author clear and detailed documentation for assigned Workday changes in a manner consistent with established standards. • Provide technical assistance to end-users, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with HR and other departments as required. • Explore and leverage Workday’s capabilities to improve business processes, deliver new features, and optimize Workday functionality and usability to enhance the overall user experience. • Develop and maintain Workday reports and dashboards. • Support organizational Workday strategy by managing system enhancements, coordinating upgrades, and leading adoption initiatives. • Lead and support new Workday feature implementations both within Human Resources and outside the department. • Support integrations between Workday and other systems, ensuring effective data quality and reliable exchanges. • Assist with training sessions to educate employees on Workday features and best practices. • Enhance process management and communication across teams. • Perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor’s degree in a related field. • Minimum of three years advanced Workday experience in a similar role. • Advanced knowledge in Workday HCM and at least two or more Workday functional areas such as Payroll, Absence, Time Tracking, Recruiting, Learning, or Benefits. • Strong knowledge of Workday foundational concepts including business objects, organizations, business process framework, business process and domain security policies, calculated fields, reporting, and notifications. • Proficient in Workday configuration, testing, report development, and use of Object Transporter for migrating configuration packages. • Proficient with Workday data integration tools such as EIB and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (i.e., pivot tables, VLOOKUP). • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while producing high quality work. • Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a deep understanding of HR processes and data management. • Well-organized with demonstrated attention to detail. • Workday Pro certification is highly desirable. Pay Transparency Range: Washington DC - $132,000 to $178,000 New York - $138,000 to $186,000 The salary offer will be contingent upon various factors, including but not limited to, relevant experience, internal equity, market data, job location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
