Lead high-level design and strategy for Exchange Online migration, ensure compliance and security in a regulated environment, manage vendor integrations, and oversee capacity planning. | 7-10 years architect experience with M365 Exchange Online, strong background in identity, security, compliance, and governance in regulated industries, expertise in Active Directory and network architecture, and experience with automation and custom solutions. | Title: M365 Exchange online Architect Location: Pennington, NJ (Hybrid) Duration: 1 year w2 only Top Must-Haves: • Strong technical background in M365, specifically Exchange/Exchange Online. • Deep expertise in identity, security, and compliance within a Microsoft ecosystem. • Proven experience leading end-to-end Exchange Online implementations. • The bank is still in the process of moving from on-prem Exchange to the cloud—this will be a major focus for this role. • The Architect should be able to share expertise, best practices, and lessons learned with Danielle and the team. • 7-10 years of experience as an Architect within M365 and Exchange environments. Architecture Responsibilities: • Responsible for high-level design and strategy, which is then handed off to engineering and operations teams for execution. • Engages with vendors to evaluate, integrate, and optimize solutions. • Oversees risk management, ensuring the design aligns with security, compliance, and business continuity requirements. • Focuses on deep technical intricacies, ensuring all processes and protocols work together efficiently. • Manages capacity planning, ensuring scalability and performance. Compliance, Security & Controls: • Must have a strong background in compliance, security, and governance, particularly in highly regulated environments (e.g., financial services or government background would be ideal). • The bank has extensive regulatory requirements, so prior experience navigating and implementing compliance controls is critical. • Works closely with Global Information Security (GIS), Legal, Project Managers, and Product Management to define and enforce business rules. • Automation & Customization: Automation team has large automation focus. • Nothing is out-of-the-box – all solutions require customization at scale to fit the bank’s needs.
