Oversee and implement all quality management system functions including audits, corrective actions, process improvements, training, and ensuring product compliance in metal manufacturing. | Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, 5+ years metal manufacturing experience, 3-5 years managing QMS, strong analytical and leadership skills. | InfraHire is looking for an Metallurgy and Quality Assurance Manager in Cicero, IL Job Description • Oversee and implement all functions of the Quality Management System, including internal audits, corrective actions (internal and external), process enhancements, and calibration/maintenance of measurement equipment. • Ensure Certificates of Conformance are accurately prepared and properly stored in customer records. • Train Laboratory Technicians and other staff on testing protocols and laboratory procedures. • Maintain compliance with industry standards and verify that all products consistently meet applicable specifications. • Review and confirm that incoming raw materials, cast billets, and finished products are thoroughly inspected and tested for dimensional and quality requirements. • Monitor and validate that all core processes remain stable, effective, and under control, implementing improvement initiatives when required. • Develop and refine processes for new alloys, ensuring critical parameters are tested, adjusted, and maintained for consistency across all operations. • Provide technical expertise and support to internal teams as well as external customers when necessary. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering. • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in metal manufacturing. • 3 5 years of experience managing Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001:2015 or similar). • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with proven ability to apply problem-solving tools for process optimization. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, databases, etc.). • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership abilities.
