Lead operational logistics, manage data infrastructure and tools, oversee team and contractors, and collaborate with internal and external partners to support large-scale grassroots mobilization campaigns. | 5-7 years experience in campaign operations or related fields, managing staff or contractors, strong grassroots mobilization knowledge, technical proficiency with organizing platforms and CRM systems, and project management skills. | About the role: The Mobilization Associate Operations Director is a key leadership position within Indivisible’s Mobilization Department. Reporting to the Mobilization Director, this role oversees the operational backbone of Indivisible’s mobilization programs, including event operations, data infrastructure, and sustained mobilization tools that drive grassroots engagement across Indivisible-led and coalition campaigns. This role manages a team that includes data and operations staff, as well as contractors, to ensure Indivisible’s mobilization work is efficient, scalable, and data-driven. The Mobilization Associate Operations Director works closely with the Mobilization Director, other internal teams, and external coalition partners to design and maintain systems that support large-scale volunteer activation and engagement. This role may require limited travel to support organizational priorities.Describe the role and team the candidate will be joining. This is a temporary, FT position anticipated to end on or around December 31, 2026. What you'll do: Event and Program Operations - 35% • Lead planning and execution of operational logistics for national mobilization events and campaigns. • Develop and maintain processes and systems to ensure smooth operations for large-scale volunteer and coalition mobilization efforts. • Collaborate with coalition partners to operationalize shared events, programs, and initiatives. • Manage contracts with key vendors to support mobilization work and network development. • Track and evaluate event performance to optimize efficiency and impact. • Build a security monitoring and triaging process for distributed mobilization moments and support improving the security posture of the network. Data Infrastructure and Analysis - 30% • Oversee data systems and infrastructure supporting grassroots mobilization programs. • Manage the integration of tools and platforms to ensure accurate, accessible, and actionable data for mobilization and coalition campaigns. • Supervise data staff and contractors responsible for list management, reporting, and analysis. • Provide insights and recommendations to inform strategy and decision-making based on data trends. Sustained Mobilization Tools and Infrastructure - 20% • Manage the development and optimization of digital and operational tools that support ongoing grassroots engagement. • Partner with Data, Analytics, and Digital teams to ensure tools are user-friendly and responsive to program needs. • Monitor performance of sustained mobilization platforms and recommend updates to maximize effectiveness. Team Management and Collaboration - 15% • Manage staff and contractors within the operations and data team, fostering professional development and accountability. • Collaborate with the Mobilization Director and other senior staff to align operations with strategic priorities. • Serve as a liaison between the Mobilization Department and other teams to ensure alignment and support for organizational goals.Describe the specific responsibilities and job functions of the role Qualifications: Required: • 5–7 years of experience in campaign operations, data management, organizing, or related fields. • Experience managing staff or contractors in operations, data, or technical program support roles. • Strong understanding of grassroots mobilization strategies, including data-informed program execution. • Proven ability to manage complex projects, deadlines, and cross-functional teams. • Technical proficiency with organizing platforms, data tools, and CRM systems • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to innovate within complex operational frameworks. • Commitment to Indivisible’s values, including diversity, equity, and inclusion.Describe the experience and attributes of the ideal candidate.
