Lead strategic sourcing and category management initiatives for CAPEX, equipment, and engineering categories across the Americas region. | Requires 8+ years leading procurement categories with strategic sourcing methodologies, strong analytical and negotiation skills, and stakeholder engagement experience. | Job Description: Category Management Team Lead, Americas – CAPEX, Equipment & Engineering Huntsman is searching for a new Category Management Team Lead, Americas – CAPEX, Equipment, and Engineering for the Americas region. This role will be directly responsible for the Strategic Sourcing initiatives in the region, as well as support or lead Global initiatives in these categories as required, following established procurement policies and procedures to optimize overall value for Huntsman. Under the general guidance of the Head of Indirect Procurement – Americas, as a Category Management Team Lead, Americas – CAPEX, Equipment, and Engineering, you will: • CATEGORY MANAGEMENT – Lead the development and implementation of Categories Strategies in CAPEX and Engineering through the 7-steps Strategic Sourcing Methodology adopted by Huntsman. • CATEGORY SOURCING – Lead the collection and analysis of business requirements, key cost drivers, supplier capabilities, and industry trends to develop and implement category sourcing strategies that will optimize overall value for Huntsman while ensuring supply and quality. • STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT – Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships across the Americas region to ensure business alignment with the category sourcing strategies and ensure continuous improvement of supplier performance. • NEGOTIATION – Negotiate supply agreements and contracts within the mandate and in line with internal procedures, terms and conditions, expected service levels, quality requirements and financial conditions. • CONTRACT MANAGEMENT - Create and support team to create supply agreements in line with legal guidelines. Ensure supplier contracts are approved, stored, and maintained according to internal procedures. • SUPPLIER RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT - Lead the development and implementation of the Supplier Relationship Management program for your categories to develop and grow relationships between new and existing key suppliers and key business stakeholders to ensure long term value for Huntsman. • COMPLIANCE - Understand and adhere to the organization's policies and procedures and relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct. Ensure that CAPEX and Engineering services are provided on time, on specification, from approved sources and in compliance with all relevant regulations and internal requirements. • PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT - Continuously develop skills and capabilities by participating in formal and informal training, seeking out coaching and mentoring support and by developing industry understanding of technology, best practices and regulation. • ORGANIZATIONAL INTEGRATION - Support integration and collaborative savings delivery from a Purchasing perspective related to Huntsman Merger & Acquisition activities Qualifications You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in the United States. Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree is required. Degrees in Engineering, Construction Management, Supply Chain, Business, or related fields are preferred. Master’s degree is a major plus. • 8+ years of verifiable experience leading categories in procurement environments operating under structured strategic sourcing methodologies in global organizations (i.e., 7-step or similar) is required • Experience working with Front-End Loading Methodology and/or Stage Gate Methodology in industrial settings. • Ability to travel up to 20% internationally and domestically. • Advanced analytical skills in Excel (i.e., pivot tables, vlookups, graphs), analytical tools (i.e., PowerBI), and PowerPoint proficiency. Preferred Qualifications • Experience or knowledge related to CAPEX and Engineering purchasing in petrochemical or heavy industrial settings. • Agile/Scrum Methodology, and/or PMI Framework (PMBOK®). • Understanding and use of key financial indicators (TCO, EBITDA, ROI, payment terms, savings measures, mark-up setting, etc.) to help make better business decisions • Ability to use AI tools to maximize value in the assigned category • Professional certification in technical or commercial fields is a plus. • Strong understanding of key financial indicators (TCO, EBITDA, ROI, payment terms, saving measures, mark-up setting, etc.) Skills and Knowledge. • Effective stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills. • Strong strategic thinking and analytical capabilities. • Ability to collect and analyze business requirements, supplier capabilities, and industry trends. • Strong negotiation skills aligned with internal procedures and contractual requirements. • Continuous improvement mindset and commitment to personal development. This position will report to the Regional Sales Director. Job Scope The Territory Manager is a critical role within HBS that at a minimum will have solid experience in the building materials sales industry, can maintain strong customer relationships within the assigned region, and can think strategically regarding pricing, competitive positioning, personnel, and company needs, etc. while performing the job in a safe and ethical manner. In summary, as the Territory Manager (Alabama, Georgia), you will: • Be responsible for driving wall foam sales to contractors and distributors in the assigned territories to achieve annual sales targets. • Develop annual business plans to detail the activities needed to exceed quota. • Meet regularly with clients to deliver HBS value proposition and gain specifications. • Participate in industry or promotional events. • Complete understanding of pricing and proposal models. • Demonstrate you are skilled to conduct intelligent business conversations and can be persuasive with business owners and decision makers at the contractor, distributor, and specifier level. • Develop clear business proposals, can negotiate, and executes business deals. • Provide regular competitive intelligence updates including in-kind and out-of-kind competitive pricing and marketing strategies. • Demonstrate that you are proficient in keeping up with all administrative needs include timely email replies, expense submission, pricing requests, performance management and other items.
