Support data sourcing, operational analysis, and workflow improvements for banking division with reporting and financial model validation. | Bachelor's degree with 2+ years data programming or reporting experience and 1+ year Python/SQL knowledge required. | Overview Hudson Valley Credit Union is currently recruiting for the position of Business Analyst I. Primary Function: Support Business Analytics initiatives by participating in projects that provide operational analysis and workflow process improvements for multiple Banking Division & Experience channels. Supports data sourcing initiatives to meet the business requirements of Banking Division & Experience departments. Assists with monitoring and identifying data integrity into HVCU's databases and generation of accurate reporting for Banking Division & Experience business units. Responsibilities Responsible for analyses and reporting including but not limited to Banking Division and Experience performance, organizational employee incentive programs, Net Promoter Score and all corresponding initiatives. Work in conjunction with the IT department to maintain infrastructure that collects, stores and processes data to transform into a usable format for analysis, ensuring data quality and accessibility across the Banking Division & Experience teams. Validation of third-party data imports, internal reports, and dashboards provided to Senior Management and applicable shareholders. Support and validate external financial models, internal tabular models, and Power BI data sets. Create and/or maintain programming/stored procedures that directly impact the Banking Division and Experience teams, including tabular data model sets that support data visualization of financial and market intelligence periodic reporting. Coordinate with other departments to understand operations within their area that have a significant impact to the Banking Division & Experience teams in order to provide analysis in support of their business strategies. Assist in the implementation of process improvement initiatives for the Banking Division & Experience teams by working with key stakeholders in applicable departments. Work ad hoc report requests submitted through service ticket system and approved by Business Analytics Manager. Adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements. Participate in all required and recommended training and development including, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act training (BSA) and demonstrate attained knowledge. Participate on Credit Union teams, projects and strategic initiatives when the opportunity arises. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned. Primary Function: A Solution Architect assists the Senior Vice President of Enterprise Architecture to drive, ensure alignment and promote the company’s technology strategy and roadmap in partnership with the Enterprise Architects, IT leadership, and our internal customers to realize business strategies to meet the needs of the member base now and well into the future. A Solution Architect is responsible for creating technology solutions in support of the long-term technology strategy of the credit union and the needs of the business, including solution architecture diagrams, architecture definitions, research notes, reports on industry best practices, and presentations. Provides indirect leadership over solution ideation, solution design, and solution implementation. Communicates the architecture to stakeholders. Collaborates and coordinates with existing technical architects in the solution ideation and design phases. Applies IT standards to technology solutions and follows IT processes. Assists in the development of an architecture program including roadmaps for existing technology architectures. Assures solutions not only are a fit for the specific purpose but also closely align with industry best-practice for technology solutions to ensure systems are designed to ensure maximum uptime, appropriate monitoring, automated resiliency, appropriate security, and enterprise performance. Responsibilities • Create solution architecture artifacts for technology and business initiatives in alignment with the credit union’s strategic technology roadmap and enterprise architecture principles. • Ensure architectures that are flexible, scalable, and account for directional changes taking place across the enterprise. • Review architecture artifacts with business and technology stakeholders to ensure compliance with policies, standards, technology strategy and roadmaps. • Advise on tools and technologies that will help better position the company for higher scale, efficiency, and performance. • Research industry best-practice, market-leading technologies to advise business partners and to help shape the opinion and direction of the company. • Create solution architecture artifacts across a wide array of technologies. • Review and collaborate to ensure solution alignment with business and technology strategies and roadmaps. • Follow architectural standards and governance in line with enterprise technology roadmap, regulatory requirements, and security standards and ensure security and operational integrity is sustainable. • Review solution architecture artifacts with Enterprise Architecture, IT and business stakeholders at the Architecture Review Board. • Recommend and assist with the build-out of new processes within IT in support of enterprise architecture functions. • Collaborate with Enterprise Architects to incorporate solution architecture artifacts into modeling software to ensure that an accurate picture of the people, process and technology aspects of solutions are well-documented and usable by enterprise architecture stakeholders. • Work with line-of-business leaders to understand their technology needs and business strategy. • Evaluate solutions that will drive down cost of IT and engage vendors to find potential cost savings • Work with key vendors / partners as needed to meet timelines. • Adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements.
