Role Description This is a part-time on-site role for a Precious Metal Buyer located in Houston, TX. The Precious Metal Buyer will be responsible for evaluating and purchasing precious metals, such as gold, silver, platinum, and silver plate. Day-to-day tasks include assessing the value of items brought in by clients, keeping up-to-date with market prices, and maintaining accurate records of transactions. The role also involves providing excellent customer service and adhering to all company policies and procedures. Qualifications • Experience in evaluating and purchasing precious metals, such as gold, silver, platinum, and silver plate • Strong customer service skills • Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping • Knowledge of current market prices and trends • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Basic math skills and proficiency with computers • Previous experience in a similar role is a plus • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in a related field is beneficial
