We’re looking for a Quality Control (QC) Team Lead to join our team based in Charlotte, NC. This role bridges both the office and the field, supporting project quality from planning through execution. It’s ideal for someone ready to step into a leadership capacity—mentoring QC technicians, coordinating with project leaders, and ensuring that our paving operations consistently meet the highest standards. While this role is based in Charlotte, NC, there will be travel to projects in Nashville, TN, and other future locations on occasion. What We Look For: • Construction-site labor experience required. • Heavy or highway construction experience preferred. • Large-scale concrete pouring or paving finishing experience required (e.g., roads, highways, bridges, etc.) – 3+ years preferred. • ACI certifications (e.g., Flatwork Finisher) preferred. • Ability to work safely, make sound judgments, and follow ethical decision-making practices. • Additional Requirements: • Ability to gain clearance for restricted/high-security zones (e.g., airport AOA, military bases). • Willingness to travel 100% of the time. • Valid driver’s license. • Physical ability to lift 50lbs, climb, walk, kneel, squat, push, pull, and enter confined spaces. • If applicable, indicate union affiliation in your application. • Must be at least 18 years old to meet job-site safety and labor requirements. About Hi-Way Paving Hi-Way Paving, Inc. is a general contractor in the heavy/civil construction space focusing on projects involving significant amounts of concrete paving on airfields.
