Compensation$90K - 140K a year

Lead the product vision and roadmap for a platform infrastructure product, collaborating with engineers to build scalable systems and tooling. | 4-7 years product management experience owning platform or infrastructure products, technical fluency, strategic thinking, and ability to deliver impactful outcomes. | Senior Product Manager (Platform) We're hiring a Senior Product Manager to own and shape the platform at Heron: the core infrastructure, tooling, and systems that underpin everything we do for customers. If you want to define the technical foundation of a fast-growing AI company and work closely with world-class engineers, we'd love to hear from you. The Opportunity Every day, thousands of small businesses apply for funding. A broker emails over a stack of bank statements, tax returns, and application forms. A team of underwriters then spends hours on manual review. Heron automates that work: we read the emails, classify the documents, extract and enrich the data, run evaluations, and push decision-ready output straight into the customer's systems. 150+ funders, brokers, fintechs and insurers use us in production today. As we scale across verticals and geographies, the platform that powers all of this needs a dedicated product leader. That's where you come in. You'll own the product vision for Heron's platform: our workflow automation engine (affectionately known as Flowmingo), core data infrastructure, deployment tooling, and the abstractions that let our product teams ship confidently. You'll work directly with our platform engineers to define what to build and why. This is a deeply technical product role; it’s less about customer-facing UIs and much more about the systems and tooling that make everything else possible. What You'll Do Own platform product strategy: Define the vision for Heron's platform: what it is, what it can be, and what it should be. Translate that into a clear, prioritised roadmap Drive ‘Flowmingo’ forward: Own the product direction for our workflow automation engine, enabling templated deployments and scalable customer onboarding Work with senior engineers: Provide product direction to a strong backend engineering team. You'll need to earn their trust through technical credibility and sharp product thinking Build foundations for scale: Build the platform capabilities that our current and future customer vertical teams depend on: data modeling, infrastructure, billing, and developer experience Ship(!): Move fast, measure impact, and make pragmatic trade-offs. What We're Looking For 4-7 years of product management experience, with meaningful time owning a platform, infrastructure, or developer tools product You're technically fluent and can discuss system architecture, data models, and API design with senior engineers and hold your own You've shipped platform or infrastructure products and can point to specific outcomes you drove You're a strategic thinker who can zoom out to define a platform vision and zoom in to write a clear spec You have strong opinions about what good platform product management looks like, and you're excited to build it from scratch at a company with strong product-market fit Above all else, we value people who want to make an impact in their work. Here are some of the behaviours we expect of all Herons: Scrappy and creative: when faced with an obstacle, you will either overcome it by pure determination, or find an unconventional approach to navigate it Persistent: you may not always find the right answer immediately, but you're motivated to keep trying until you do. You'll go the extra mile if that's what it takes Pilot not passenger: at a fast-growing company like Heron we need people who jump on opportunities unprompted and drive them to a great outcome Excited to work in a fast-paced, high-growth, team-based environment: we aim to move quickly and decisively, but together What You Can Expect as a Heron Competitive compensation, including equity Based in-person in our London or NYC office Your choice of top-of-the-line equipment to fit out your desk Free mental health support via Spill - on-demand access to therapy Weekly company lunches (always inclusive and vegan friendly) Annual company retreats/offsites Applicants from any background and gender are welcome and we have a zero tolerance policy on discrimination

Compensation$85K - 120K a year

Own a product vertical end-to-end by running discovery, writing specs, prioritizing backlog, shipping features, and measuring impact. | 2-4 years of product management experience in B2B SaaS, ability to ship software products, technical comfort with APIs and system architecture, strong customer focus, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. | Product Manager We're hiring a Product Manager to help us build the future of automated document workflows at Heron. You'll own a product vertical end-to-end - from customer discovery to shipping features that eliminate hours of manual work for our customers every day. If you love talking to customers, shipping fast, and working at the intersection of AI and financial services, we'd love to hear from you. The Opportunity Every day, thousands of small businesses apply for funding. A broker emails over a stack of bank statements, tax returns, and application forms - sometimes scanned, screenshotted or photographed on someone's phone. A team of underwriters then spends hours doing the same manual review, over and over, all day, out of a shared inbox. If they're slow, they lose the deal to a competitor. Heron automates that manual work. We read the emails, classify the documents, extract and enrich the data, run evaluation rules, and push decision-ready output straight into the customer's CRM - in minutes, not hours. 150+ funders, brokers, fintechs and insurers use us in production today. We're growing fast, with customers pulling us into new problems and verticals faster than we can staff them. We're hiring a Product Manager to take ownership of one of our core verticals. You'll talk to customers, define what to build, ship it with engineering, and measure whether it's working. You'll have real influence over the roadmap and the autonomy to make calls. This is a hands-on IC role - no layers between you and the problem. What You'll Do Own a product vertical end-to-end: Run discovery, write specs, prioritize the backlog, and work with engineering to ship improvements that customers love Be the voice of the customer: Build deep relationships with customers in your vertical, run regular feedback sessions, and translate their pain points into product opportunities Ship and iterate: Move fast, measure impact, and iterate. We care about outcomes, not output - a shipped feature that moves a metric beats a perfect spec that sits in a backlog Set product strategy: Build and present a clear product strategy grounded in customer data, competitive insight, and business impact Collaborate across the company: Work closely with engineering, deployment, sales, and customer success to make sure what we build lands well What We're Looking For 2-4 years of experience in product management at a B2B SaaS company, or 2-3 years in a commercial generalist role before transitioning into tech or product You've shipped software products and can point to specific outcomes you drove You're comfortable with technical concepts - you can discuss APIs, data pipelines, and system architecture with engineers You're a structured thinker who can take ambiguous problems and break them into clear, actionable product decisions You have strong customer instincts, and you'd generally rather spend an hour with a customer than an hour in a planning meeting Above all else, we value people who want to make an impact in their work. Here are some of the behaviors that we expect of all Herons: Scrappy and creative: when faced with an obstacle, you will either overcome it by pure determination (i.e., by hand), or find an unconventional approach or ‘hack’ to navigate it. Persistent: you may not always find the right answer or person immediately, but you're motivated to keep on trying until you do so. You’ll go the extra mile - including Flying to Gainesville - if that’s what it takes. Pilot not passenger: at a fast-growing company like Heron we need people who jump on opportunities unprompted and drive them to a great outcome, rather than folks who wait to be told what to do. Excited to work in a fast-paced, high-growth, team-based environment: we aim to move quickly and decisively, but together. You’ll be a great team player and do what it takes for the team to succeed. What You Can Expect as a Heron Competitive compensation, including equity Based in-person in our NYC office, with occasional travel to customers (across the US and UK) and company retreats (in the US and UK) Your choice of top-of-the-line equipment to fit out your desk in our office Competitive benefits: health insurance; 401K; uncapped annual leave; parental leave Free mental health support via Spill - on-demand access to therapy Weekly company lunches (always inclusive and vegan-friendly - especially if you like Vietnamese food!) Applicants from any background and gender are welcome and we have a zero tolerance policy on discrimination

Highly productive: You get a lot done and thrive in fast-paced, high-output environments. You take pride in making problems disappear. Technically inclined: You’re not an engineer, but you’re confident working with data, understanding technical systems, and digging into details. A natural problem-solver: You’re resourceful and persistent. When something’s broken, you roll up your sleeves and figure it out. A clear communicator: You explain things clearly and concisely, whether to a customer or a teammate. Above all else, we value people who want to make an impact in their work. Here are some of the behaviors that we expect of all Herons: Scrappy and creative: when faced with an obstacle, you will either overcome it by pure determination (i.e., by hand), or find an unconventional approach or ‘hack’ to navigate it.
