This role requires deep technical skills, leadership, and the ability to collaborate with both technical and business stakeholders. What You’ll Do • Lead end-to-end modernization from MarkLogic to MongoDB. • Design and optimize data models, schemas, indexes, and queries for scalability and performance. • Oversee ETL processes, data quality, and validation throughout migration. • Develop migration scripts and automation using Python, JavaScript, Spring Boot, and microservices frameworks. • Leverage MongoDB Atlas and Compass, along with replication and sharding strategies. • Implement cloud migration strategies (AWS or Google Cloud). • Ensure data security (PHI, PII, PCI) with authentication and encryption best practices. • Collaborate across teams, create documentation, and mentor peers in best practices. What We’re Looking For Technical Skills • Proven hands-on MongoDB experience (Atlas strongly preferred). • SQL and relational database knowledge for migrations. • ETL, data validation, and migration experience. • Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP). • Programming with Python, JavaScript, Spring Boot. • Experience with microservices architecture. • Knowledge of MarkLogic/XQuery (desirable). • Understanding of Kafka design patterns (nice to have).
