(HPI) is a New England-based Third Party Administrator (TPA) of self-funded health and benefit plans. HPI was founded in 1981 to provide comprehensive health plan administration to employers, municipalities and Taft-Hartley plans. Summary The Program Manager (PgM) oversees a portfolio of related projects and initiatives (a program), ensuring they collectively deliver strategic business value and outcomes across the enterprise. The PgM drives program strategy, alignment, and governance while guiding and influencing project teams on scope, schedule, financials, dependencies, and quality standards. The PgM serves as a hands-on driver and architect of delivery; actively shaping how projects fit together within the program, anticipating downstream/upstream impacts, using leadership skills to remove barriers and keep work moving. The PgM facilitates cross-functional collaboration, manages inter-project risks and impacts, and ensures transparent communication with stakeholders and leadership. The PgM brings value by uncovering synergies across projects and programs, fostering strong cross-team collaboration, and leveraging data to guide decision-making and drive continuous process improvement. Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned): Strategic Program Leadership * Provide strategic program leadership by overseeing governance, prioritization, and resource allocation across multiple project portfolios to ensure alignment with organizational goals, budgets, and schedules. * Identify synergies and interdependencies across projects and business areas by researching, investigating, and conducting deep discovery and analysis to surface connections, manage cross-project risks, and guide teams toward integrated, enterprise-wide solutions. * Act as an architect of the program’s delivery approach by mapping how projects interrelate, identifying cross-functional impacts and dependencies, and proactively driving resolution when intersections create conflicts, risks, or competing priorities. * Develop, maintain, and communicate program roadmaps, including program-level plans, schedules, budgets, and documentation that support transparency, alignment, and long-term planning. * Leverage data-driven insights to support decision-making, establish meaningful metrics, and monitor value realization, ensuring the program delivers expected business benefits and supports continuous improvement. * Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence by collaborating with project managers, cross-functional teams, and leaders to improve processes, enhance delivery practices, and support organizational maturity. Stakeholder & Resource Management * Influences without authority, effectively guiding internal teams, external partners, and technical resources to ensure successful delivery across all program initiatives. Builds strong relationships and navigates organizational dynamics to drive alignment and outcomes. * Champions robust change management practices to support stakeholder readiness, adoption, and sustained use of program outcomes—ensuring the program delivers its intended value and measurable business benefits. Reporting & PMO Standards * Develops and maintains comprehensive program reporting, including dashboards, status reports, and analytics that provide transparent visibility into progress, risks, and value delivery. * Applies standardized project and program management tools, frameworks, and methodologies in partnership with project managers, project teams, and leadership to ensure consistent execution across the portfolio. * Delivers concise, executive-ready communications, synthesizing complex information into clear insights for senior leadership, governance forums, and key stakeholders. Minimum Education Requirements (must have documented proof): * Bachelor’s degree in business administration, information technology or a related field. Preferred Education/Experience Requirements: * Project management certification, or specialized training by PMI or project methodology (agile, AI-augmented project management, etc.) * Recent experience (within the last 2 years) in health insurance/managed care or third-party administration environments. * Minimum 4 years of hands-on project leadership (IT and/or business) across the full lifecycle. * Experience with MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Confluence, Planner, or similar PM/BA toolsets. Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: * Demonstrated experience in organizational change management and willingness to vocalize change management concepts and mindset. * Bias for action and a strong sense of ownership; takes initiative, drives decisions to closure, and moves work forward even amid ambiguity. * Relentless follow-through; tracks commitments, escalates and unblocks issues, and ensures cross-functional teams deliver against agreed outcomes and timelines. * Data and analytics literacy to inform decision-making and program outcomes. * The PgM aligns programs with the strategy of the enterprise, monitoring the health and success of the program and interdependency with the portfolio. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable interacting with executives, managers, SMEs, and external partners. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). * Service orientation; strong interpersonal and customer-facing skills. * Integrity, ethical practice, and confidentiality. * Strong problem solving, facilitation, and influencing without authority. * Organization, self-motivation, and sound decision-making under time constraints. What you’ll do The Account Manager (AM) is responsible for coordinating and managing the plan implementation for new clients, as well as managing the overall servicing of account issues for existing clients. For new clients, the AM will coordinate the plan implementation by producing educational materials, conducting benefit meetings, designing, and communicating plan design. As the primary contact for the group representatives and brokers, the AM collaborates closely with internal staff to communicate service issues; coordinate plan building design; resolves claim payment issues; provides general account service; and provides support to Sales Manager/Director. The AM position requires significant travel as he/she conducts service meetings with each client. In this role, you’ll also: * Coordinate the implementation of new groups and overall servicing of account issues for existing clients and brokers. * Conduct benefit meetings, producing educational materials, resolving claims/service issues. * Communicate with internal staff on any plan design changes, renewal changes, or other relevant information to ensure the plan runs smoothly for each client. * Develop all employee/employer materials. * Prepare reports requested by employers/brokers. Assist clients/brokers with analysis of reports. * Notify and assist clients/brokers with compliance and reporting requirements with respect to benefit plans federal mandates etc. What you bring * Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience. * Three to five years’ experience in client services, preferably in the healthcare industry. * Effective communicator across all levels. * Proven ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines. * Detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive with follow-through. * Able to work independently and collaboratively. * Understands system interactions and maintains confidentiality. * Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
