Supervise network operations and staff ensuring secure, stable enterprise network infrastructure. | 7+ years network experience with 2+ years supervisory experience in Cisco and Fortinet environments. | Job Description The Network Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, performance, and reliability of the organization's enterprise network infrastructure. This position supervises network staff and contractors while ensuring the secure, stable, and efficient operation of wired, wireless, WAN, SD-WAN, and datacenter networking environments. The role supports infrastructure modernization initiatives and ensures network services meet organizational requirements for clinical, operational, and administrative systems. The Network Supervisor collaborates with IT leadership, security teams, vendors, and project teams to maintain high availability, performance, and security of network services. • Oversee and manage enterprise telephony systems, including VoIP platforms, call routing, SIP trunking, and integration with collaboration tools • Ensure high availability, performance, and lifecycle management of voice infrastructure across all sites • Coordinate design, deployment, and optimization of unified communications (UC) platforms, ensuring alignment with organizational needs • Collaborate with vendors and service providers for telephony and conferencing services, including contract management and service-level enforcement • Plan and manage infrastructure-related projects, including network, telephony, and collaboration initiatives from initiation through completion • Develop project scopes, timelines, resource plans, and budgets; track progress and report status to leadership • Lead cross-functional coordination between IT teams, clinical/business units, and external partners for project delivery • Drive standardization and documentation of telephony, VTC, and network processes, including diagrams, runbooks, and operational procedures • Identify opportunities for modernization, cost optimization, and improved user experience across communication platforms • Ensure compliance with organizational, regulatory, and security requirements for voice and video communications systems • Supervise the daily operation of enterprise network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, wireless, datacenter networking, and remote connectivity. • Monitor network performance, availability, and capacity to ensure reliable service delivery. • Oversee troubleshooting of network incidents, outages, and performance issues. • Ensure timely resolution of service tickets and escalation of critical issues. • Maintain documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and procedures. • Support network upgrade initiatives, including routing, switching, wireless, and SD-WAN implementations. • Coordinate infrastructure projects with vendors and internal IT teams. • Assist in planning and executing network improvements to support clinical and business systems. • Participate in datacenter and redundancy planning efforts. • Work closely with the cybersecurity team to ensure network security controls are implemented and maintained. • Support firewall, segmentation, and access control strategies. • Assist in maintaining compliance with healthcare security and privacy requirements. • Participate in vulnerability remediation and incident response support as needed. • Supervise network engineers, analysts, and/or technical staff.• Assign and prioritize operational tasks and project work. • Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and performance feedback. • Assist in staff scheduling, on-call coordination, and workload balancing. • Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training activities. • Vendor & Service Coordination• Coordinate with network vendors, service providers, and support partners. • Oversee circuit performance and carrier escalations. • Assist in evaluating new networking technologies and solutions. • Support contract and maintenance tracking activities. • Governance & Documentation• Ensure network operations follow established IT governance and change management processes. • Maintain operational standards, procedures, and configuration documentation. • Support audit requests and reporting related to network infrastructure. • Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing. • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities• Strong understanding of enterprise network architecture and design principles • Knowledge of network security best practices and segmentation strategies • Ability to manage multiple operational priorities in a fast-paced environment • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills • Ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical stakeholders • Leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide technical staff • Ability to work collaboratively across IT and business departments • Supervisory Responsibilities• Supervises network engineers, analysts, contractors, and/or support personnel as assigned. • Physical Requirements• Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer • Ability to occasionally lift network equipment up to 25 pounds • Ability to respond to on-site technical issues when necessary • Working Conditions • Standard office and datacenter environments • Participation in on-call rotation may be required • Occasional after-hours or weekend work during outages, maintenance, or projects Qualifications • Education:• Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field OR • Equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, and relevant work experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree • Preferred Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field • Professional certifications such as:• Cisco (CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent) • Fortinet (NSE or equivalent) • Experience with:• Cisco networking environments • Fortinet firewalls and security platforms • SD-WAN technologies • Healthcare or public sector IT environments • Datacenter networking and redundancy design • Experience:• Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in network administration or engineering • Minimum 2 years of supervisory or team-lead experience • Strong experience supporting enterprise routing, switching, and wireless environments • Experience troubleshooting complex network issues in production environments • Ability to lead operational response during network incidents • Certification:• N/A • Licensure:• N/A • Registrations:• N/A • Training:• N/A

Employees in this position generally perform duties as primary support for the Department Leader, and function with considerable independence in conducting and completing assigned tasks. Position provides department-specific information to Health Care District personnel. Essential Functions: • Performs keyboard tasks in processing department correspondence and updating and maintaining various department records, logs, reports and files. • Responds to written and telephone concerns and inquiries from the public, other personnel, and outside agencies; resolves the concern or directs to appropriate entities. • Generates various letters, records, reports and related documentation; makes copies of such where applicable; and, distributes to appropriate entities. • Maintains, updates and manages department filing system, including retrieving files, records, reports and patient charts as directed. • Reviews various forms, records, medical charts and applications as applicable to assigned department to ensure information is accurate, complete and current. • Acts as liaison between the Department Leader, other departments, and outside agencies, as well as gathering and relaying information as needed. • Assists other hospital personnel by relaying instructions, coordinating efficient work-flow and requesting information as needed. • Processes, sorts and distributes incoming and outgoing mail when applicable to assigned department. • Monitors department materials and supply inventory and orders supplies as needed • Maintains the Department Leader and the department's calendar. Schedules meetings, appointments, deadlines and project/program schedules as required. • Prepares charts, logs, work tables, letters, records, forms, reports and other related documentation; makes copies of such where applicable; and distributes to appropriate entities. • Processes invoices for approval and payment. • Maintains a tickler system for timely review and renewal of contracts. Provides assistance with contract renewal as required. • Assists other hospital personnel with responsibilities and adjusts work schedules to meet department needs. • Assists in the preparation of meeting packets. Sets up meeting agendas and documentation for department meetings; takes, transcribes, copies and distributes minutes to appropriate entities. • Attends mandatory department and hospital in-service training sessions. • Facilitates departmental communications. • Assists all patients, family members, physicians, visitor, and employees as needed. • Emergency duty may be required of the incumbent that includes working in special needs or Red Cross shelters or to perform other emergency duties including, but not limited to, responses to threats or disasters, manmade or natural. Qualifications Education: • High School Diploma or GED required. Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred. Experience: • One (1) to two (2) years administrative assistance experience; office management experience preferred. • Experience in typing, word processing, and computer spreadsheets required.
