Lead technical discovery, design, and presentation of enterprise cybersecurity solutions in a pre-sales capacity. | 7+ years cybersecurity experience, 3+ years pre-sales solutions architect role, strong solution design and communication skills, knowledge of security frameworks and cloud security, bachelor's degree or equivalent. | We are partnering with a leading technology solutions provider to hire a Cybersecurity Solutions Architect to join a high-performing pre-sales engineering team. This is a customer-facing role focused on helping organizations evaluate, design, and adopt enterprise cybersecurity solutions. As a trusted technical advisor, you'll work alongside Account Executives throughout the sales cycle, leading technical discovery, developing solution architectures, delivering presentations and demonstrations, and helping customers align security strategies with business objectives. This is a 100% pre-sales position—there are no implementation or delivery responsibilities. Responsibilities • Lead customer discovery sessions to understand business goals, security challenges, and technical requirements. • Design and present enterprise cybersecurity solutions that address customer needs and align with industry best practices. • Deliver technical presentations, architecture workshops, product demonstrations, and proof-of-concept engagements. • Translate complex technical concepts into business value for both technical and executive stakeholders. • Develop high-level solution architectures, reference designs, and technical recommendations. • Collaborate with internal engineering and professional services teams to ensure proposed solutions are practical, scalable, and deliverable. • Create and review technical proposals, Bills of Materials (BOMs), Statements of Work (SOWs), and supporting sales documentation. • Respond to technical questions during the sales cycle, including RFPs, RFIs, and customer evaluations. • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, strategic partners, and technology vendors. • Mentor junior pre-sales engineers and contribute to the development of technical best practices across the organization. • Support strategic customer engagements and executive-level discussions as the cybersecurity subject matter expert. Required Skills • Must live in either the Portland OR or Seattle WA area • Must be willing to travel • 7+ years of experience in Cybersecurity, Network Security, or Infrastructure Engineering • 3+ years in a Pre-Sales Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, or Solutions Engineer role • Experience leading technical discovery sessions and customer workshops • Strong solution design and cybersecurity architecture experience • Ability to present technical solutions to both executive and technical audiences • Knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST and CIS Controls • Experience with EDR/XDR, SIEM, SOAR, and Security Operations • Experience with Identity & Access Management (IAM), MFA, and Privileged Access Management (PAM) • Knowledge of Firewalls, IPS/IDS, Network Access Control (NAC), and Zero Trust architectures • Experience with Vulnerability Management and Incident Response • Familiarity with Cloud Security across Microsoft Azure, AWS, and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) • Strong understanding of hybrid and enterprise network architectures • Experience creating technical proposals, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and Statements of Work (SOWs) • Excellent communication, presentation, and customer-facing consulting skills • Ability to work collaboratively with Account Executives, engineering teams, and technology partners • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience If this sounds like a fit apply today!
