Field Service Manager – Your Job Duties: The Field Service Manager will lead a team of Field Service Engineers responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems and related power infrastructure. This role combines 60% management responsibilities with 40% hands-on field service work. You will: Management • Supervise, coach, and develop a team of 10-12 Field Service Engineers across assigned territories (CA, IN, TX, VA) • Plan, assign, and monitor daily work schedules to ensure optimal resource utilization and service delivery • Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and training to enhance team performance and professional growth • Conduct performance reviews, manage KPIs, and ensure adherence to safety, quality, and compliance standards • Coordinate with logistics, project management, and customer support teams to ensure efficient service operations • Manage escalations, resolve customer issues promptly, and maintain high levels of client satisfaction • Support recruitment, onboarding, and certification of new field engineers • Track service metrics, report operational performance, and implement continuous improvement initiatives Field Service • Provide preventive maintenance, repairs, and start-ups on equipment • Complete field service reports • Support project team in installations, de-installations, and modifications • Troubleshoot complex technical problems and provide solutions • Conduct site assessments, system testing, and technical evaluations to ensure equipment performance and reliability • Removal and replacement of failed batteries • Provide excellent customer service • Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations, company policies, and customer requirements Field Service Manager - Required Skills, Experience & Personality Fit You have: • Hands-on supervisory experience managing field service teams or technical personnel including training, coaching, and development • Proven experience working with major UPS Brands such as Mitsubishi, Toshiba, Vertiv, Schneider Electric, Eaton, or equivalent original equipment manufacturer systems • Strong technical knowledge of electrical distribution systems, battery technologies, and power management principles • High attention to safety, quality, and compliance standards, ensuring all service activities meet company and regulatory requirements. • Advailable to travel throughout CA, TX, IN & VA • Willingness to work onsite at the Diamond Springs, CA office when not traveling • Demonstrated ability to manage field operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workload balancing across multiple locations and projects. Field Service Manager – Benefits For You Your compensation will be $125,000-$135,000 annual salary, depending on experience. You will be provided with medical insurance options including employer contribution towards your premium, paid time off, paid holidays and more. This role is located in office in Diamond Springs, California, Monday-Friday and available on evenings and weekends for emergencies.
