Support attorneys with drafting pleadings, legal research, discovery management, and trial preparation. | Over 3 years litigation paralegal experience, proficiency in litigation software, and knowledge of Civil Procedure rules required. | Overview Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani, a national law firm with offices in all 50 States, has immediate openings for experienced Litigation Paralegals in its forthcoming Leawood office. The ideal candidate must have 3+ years of experience working as a litigation-focused paralegal, preferably in a large law firm setting.Qualifications: Experience in litigation support and case management. Ability to adapt to changes in work environment and manage multiple cases, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient, with a high level of professionalism. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Experience drafting and organizing discovery – both written discovery and document production. Experience preparing for and assisting at trial. Familiarity with the State and Federal Rules of Civil Procedures. Experience with Summation Pro, Relativity, or comparable litigation support software. Excellent analytical and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail, organizational, and technical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Key Responsibilities: Communicate professionally, productively, and efficiently with clients, contacts, attorneys, other paralegals, and all other professional staff. Assist attorneys in drafting pleadings, performing factual and legal research, reviewing, and analyzing documents, and supporting preparations for hearings, depositions, and mediations. Review, gather, and organize client documents from production to discovery. Research, organize, and summarize records as needed to assist in data gathering, including organizing information and documents in databases. Assist with preparing discovery requests and responses. Assist in trial preparation, including drafting pre-trial pleadings, preparing exhibits, coordinating witnesses and requests with outside vendors, and live trial support. Other duties as assigned. The ideal candidate should have 1+ year of experience. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work in a team environment. Computer skills, particularly experience with Excel, Microsoft Office, FileSite, and iManage. Ability to work independently. Excellent verbal and written communication. Strong analytical and organizational skills, as well as close attention to detail. Comfortable multi-tasking in a team-structured setting. Knowledge of PowerPoint, Milana, and trial presentation software is a plus. Knowledge of court rules, calendaring, e-filing, and filing procedures is a plus. The yearly salary range is between $36,500-$65,000. This position is open to all experience levels. The actual salary offered may be above or below the identified range and will be based on a wide range of factors, including relevant skills, training, experience, including the location where the position is filled.
