Translate high-level assembly requirements into hardware requirements, design and prototype hardware, lead testing and verification, and identify hardware improvements. | Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, Department of Defense Secret security clearance preferred, U.S. citizenship required. | Basic Qualifications Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Responsibilities For This Position ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES: What you’ll experience in the first year: • Requirement Derivation:Translate high-level assembly requirements or concepts into specific, implementable, and testable hardware requirements • Hardware Design and Prototyping:Collaborate in the design process to create and prototype hardware items from subsystem designs • Expert Engagement:Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for your hardware item, identifying at least two potential upgrades to enhance technical capabilities, manufacturing yield, or usability • Hardware Testing:Develop and execute a comprehensive verification test plan for standalone hardware items based on derived requirements What you bring to the table: • Technical Skills:Proficiency in deriving detailed hardware requirements and designing hardware from subsystem concepts. • Team Collaboration:Strong ability to work within a team to achieve design and prototyping goals. • Analytical Thinking:Capability to identify and propose improvements to hardware items. • Testing Experience:Expertise in creating and executing detailed test plans to ensure hardware functionality and quality.
