Expert-level engineering, administration, and optimization of compute and virtualization infrastructure including cloud platform management and system security. | At least 10 years experience with Microsoft/Linux servers, VMware, enterprise storage, backup technologies, and preferably a bachelor's degree in computer science or related field. | We are seeking a highly skilled and results-driven Systems Engineer to provide expert level engineering, administration, and optimization of the firm’s Systems/Compute infrastructure. This role is critical to ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our enterprise systems while driving innovation and efficiency across the environment. As a senior member of the Systems team, you will: Collaborate closely with the Manager of Systems to align system strategies with firmwide objectives. Collaborate with the Systems Engineering team on the design, deployment, and lifecycle management of compute and virtualization platforms and complete server/systems infrastructure management. Champion best practices, system automation, and performance optimization initiatives. This role has a remote-eligible working arrangement. Candidates must be available and willing to work overtime hours when necessary to meet the demands of the position. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with the team to design, implement, and manage the firm’s core systems, including compute, networks, storage, Exchange, physical and virtual servers, Active Directory and Group Policy, Certificate Services, authentication platforms, and remote access/mobility solutions. Administer and support cloud-based platforms and services such as Microsoft Azure, Office 365, and AWS. Manage and administer Citrix VDI, Load balancing systems and SSL Certificate Management. Monitor, maintain, and optimize system performance to ensure reliability, scalability, and security. Perform routine, scheduled, and long-term maintenance, as well as user-facing service tasks, to maintain a high standard of operational excellence. Provide expert-level escalation support for complex technical issues. Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including processes, procedures, troubleshooting guides, training materials, and change management records. Participate in the on-call rotation to provide after-hours support as needed. Be available for occasional overtime, non-standard hours, or travel in support of projects and operational needs. Ensure integrations are secure, efficient, and aligned with enterprise architecture and governance standards. Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with relevant security protocols and regulations in collaboration with Information Security, Applications, and Infrastructure teams. Collaborate with appropriate cross-functional technology teams to complete risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate potential security vulnerabilities. Maintain documentation of data flows, API endpoints, schemas, and integration logic. Contributes to the selection, implementation, and optimization of integration platforms. Support data quality, integrity, and reconciliation efforts across systems. Required Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field preferred; advanced degrees a plus. Technical Expertise: Minimum 10 years as a Systems Engineer with Microsoft server and Linux operating systems within enterprise environments. Minimum 10 years designing, building, securing, and managing virtualization technologies using the VMware stack (ESXi, vCenter) and Hyperconverged Infrastructure (Nutanix, Dell VxRail, HPE). Minimum 10 years working with enterprise storage technologies Block (SCSI/NVMe), File (CIFS/NFS), and Object (S3). Minimum 10 years working with enterprise backup and recovery technologies (Rubrik, Cohesity, Veeam). Proven ability to manage enterprise-wide systems/compute infrastructure and multiple infrastructure components simultaneously. Expert proficiency in Microsoft Windows-based enterprise environments, including Active Directory, M365, PKI design, support, and administration. Advanced knowledge of VMware, Windows Server, TCP/IP, DNS, and related protocols. Strong understanding of network design and management (LAN/WAN, MPLS, VPN, VLAN, Wi-Fi). Solid working knowledge of encryption technologies and cybersecurity risk mitigation/system hardening techniques. Advanced skills in PowerShell scripting for system utilities, automation, and administration. Proficient in monitoring solutions (SolarWinds, LogicMonitor, Splunk, Aria). Compensation range is $116,700 to $145,800 commensurate with related experience and qualification. The incoming Analyst will be responsible for working closely with the firm’s attorneys, the Manager of Conflicts and Intake, and other members of the Conflicts and Intake Department to support the firm’s critical risk management function by performing all duties associated with conflict of interest reporting and analysis. The Analyst will process conflicts searches using firm and third-party research databases, research company information using external sources, select and analyze conflicts results while highlighting critical issues and communicating this information to the Manager of Conflicts and Intake and directly to firm lawyers as requested. Reporting to the Manager of Conflicts and Intake, this position is responsible for upholding the standards of quality, consistency, accuracy, thoroughness, and customer service as defined and implemented by the Conflicts and Intake Department. Responsibilities • Conducts detailed, extensive research using multiple research resources; • Analyzes the corporate business structure and background of prospective clients and adverse parties; • Performs data entry, search, and analysis of conflicts information in the firm’s conflicts database and new matter intake systems in accordance with the department’s policies and procedures; • Generates conflicts reports using the firm’s conflicts database and reviews, analyzes, and interprets those reports as part of the conflicts analysis and reporting process and pursuant to the rules of professional conduct; • Communicates relevant substantive information and appropriate next steps to lawyers, including the potential need for conflicts waivers, and escalates complex issues to the Director or Manager of Conflicts and Intake, as appropriate; • Assists with drafting and revising conflicts waiver language, as necessary and subject to appropriate supervision; • Requests and records all necessary conflicts resolution documentation, including conflicts waivers or engagement letters; • Reviews intake requests to ensure that all provided information is complete and accurate; • Generates new client matter numbers and assists in the maintenance of client and matter data in the firm’s conflicts database; • Assists in providing training and guidance to internal customers regarding conflicts and intake policies and procedures; • Contributes to process, procedure, and technology improvements to provide optimum customer service and efficiency; and • Performs research and other special projects, as assigned. Qualifications • Experience in a law firm conflicts department strongly preferred or other experience in a compliance, regulatory, financial or legal environment; • A general understanding of legal conflicts, related ethical rules, and current developments in professional services risk management; • Database research experience preferred (such as CapitalIQ, Intapp, and Lexis); • Exceptional critical thinking and analytical skills; • Acute attention to detail, as well as organizational and research capabilities; • Excellent decision-making skills and demonstrated ability to think on one’s feet; • Ability to work under tight deadlines and be flexible in order to respond quickly and positively to shifting demands and opportunities; • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team-oriented and collaborative environment; • Exceptional communication and customer service skills; • Ability to take ownership of multiple tasks and projects and work independently to resolve issues; • Receptive to constructive feedback and ability to accept direction; • Ability to exercise discretion and maintain strict confidentiality of the firm’s confidential information; and • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, as well as web-based systems preferred. Compensation range is $76,000 to $95,000 commensurate with related experience and qualification.
