Advise, strategize and deliver editorial direction for the brand in line with subjects impacting the Machine Design industry. Develop and create written and multimedia content to drive quality traffic to various platforms to inform the construction industry on complex topics and trends. Major Responsibilities: The Lead Technical reporter for Machine Design is responsible for the production of high-quality, high-value original bylined content across all viable media—print, digital, social, audio, visual. They interview engineers, decision makers and other the top voices in the manufacturing equipment design space to provide deep analysis, commentary, context, and information that is vital to manufacturing design and engineering professionals. Internally, they serve as experts of their beats, collaborating with peers to share knowledge, and insights and to guide cross-brand efforts. Externally, they strive to become a recognized expert across their industry whose voice is actively and regularly sought among peers and major news outlets. Core Competencies:  * Write/record and publish original bylined content across the brand’s digital, print, audio, visual, and social media channels.  * Develop key contacts across the industry for exclusive interviews and sources for content. * Solicit, source, and review contributed expert content as needed. * Digital Publishing Tactics * Public Speaking * Actively engage with and participate in live and digital industry events.  * Raise your profile through social media, newsletters, and the development of a readily recognizable voice and perspective in bylined content.  * Serve as an internal expert on your beat/industry to fuel cross-brand content and collaboration.  * Produce the best original content in your industry.  Knowledge/Skill/Ability: * Basic understanding of SEO/GEO, analytics, AI, Social Media platforms * Knowledge of AP Style * Knowledge of Microsoft Office platforms (Word; Excel, Outlook, Teams) * Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign; InCopy, Acrobat) * Familiarity with Photoshop a plus * Proficiency in creating and editing video and podcasts * Knowledge of journalism best practices and ethics   Education/Experience * Degree in Journalism, English, communications or a related field.  * 5 years experience in writing and editing content for a specific audience * Knowledge of the construction industry a plus We are excited to share the annual salary range for this position is $65,000 to $70,000, exclusive of fringe benefits. If you are hired for this position at EndeavorB2B, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as hiring location, skillset, prior years’ experience, relevant education, certain degrees and certifications, training, and market considerations. In addition to those factors – we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider any internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future & continued salary growth. This role ensure all content meet EndeavorB2B SEO/GEO and UX best practices, adapting editorial and print content for digital platforms with consistent tagging, formatting, and categorization within the CMS while also managing the print cycle of their brands (if applicable.) They collaborate closely with editors, writers, and developers to met deadlines, resolve technical issues, and keep content aligned with publishing schedules and brand goals. They manage newsletter production from build to distribution, including A/N testing and performance tracking, while ensuring high standards of design, engagement, and deliverability. The role involves maintaining website metrics dashboards , analyzing traffic patterns, and developing actionable insights to inform content strategy and improve performance. They write and schedule platform-specific social media posts, engage with followers, and monitor competitor activity and industry trends. Participation in editorial planning meetings and content ideation is essential, as is upholding editorial standards across platforms. The ideal candidate has at least 5-7 years of experience in media and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, digital-first environment.
