Lead client communications and advocacy programs to develop and execute strategic customer-facing messaging and reference initiatives. | Requires 5-8+ years in marketing or communications with strong storytelling, client relationship, and project management skills. | Job Description: • The Client Communications & Advocacy Lead is responsible for planning, developing, and executing all client-facing communications across EMS|MC, while serving as the strategic architect of our customer advocacy pipeline • This role owns the broad portfolio of client communications—including product updates, regulatory changes, and thought leadership—and executes on our newly launched EMS|MC reference program, Gold Partner Network • Responsibilities include identifying advocacy opportunities, conducting client interviews, extracting meaningful insights and data, and developing compelling success stories for publication across multiple channels. • Design and scale an efficient workflow to seamlessly transition reference clients into active marketing advocates • Proactively identify and engage qualified reference clients to secure their participation across various marketing assets • Lead the entire development lifecycle for client success content, managing the production of various reference assets • Conduct client interviews, research internal/external data, and draft deep-dive success narratives • Develop concepts, interview subjects, and write engaging production scripts • Identify opportunities (e.g., Regional User Groups, conferences) and support asset/slide creation • Synthesize client feedback into high-impact snippets for the website and social media • Navigate and manage complex, multi-layered internal and client-side approval loops (including legal and PR adjustments) to ensure absolute compliance before deployment • Partner with marketing operations to publish and promote finalized case studies across our website, email marketing, sales enablement toolkits, and social channels • Own and manage the strategy for high-frequency client communications, ensuring a consistent, scalable approach • Ensure all messaging is clear, concise, and closely aligned with the EMS|MC brand voice, positioning, and standards • Strategically prioritize and sequence client touchpoints to avoid audience overload and conflicting messages • Translate highly complex operational, regulatory, and product information into client-friendly, actionable messaging • Draft and edit regulatory updates, product/service rollouts, event invitations, and thought leadership distribution • Partner with Compliance, Legal, Sales, Operations, and Client Success to proactively gather communication inputs and monitor client relationship health • Co-govern the reference program with Sales and Client Success, aligning reference participation with defined program points, rewards tracking, and protection against reference fatigue • Maintain communication standards and review content for clarity, tone, and accuracy across sister brands where applicable (EMS|MC, NAAC, PWW|AG). Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field, or comparable work experience • 5–8+ years of experience in Marketing, Communications, a client-facing storytelling/advocacy role, or a related field • Strong interpersonal and interviewing skills with the ability to build trust and credibility with executive-level clients and internal stakeholders • Exceptional written and verbal communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex information, client interviews, and quantitative data into compelling customer advocacy content and business narratives for diverse audiences • Strong client relationship management skills, with the ability to balance client advocacy initiatives while fostering positive partnerships and minimizing reference fatigue • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally, building effective partnerships with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Compliance, and other stakeholders to execute strategic communication initiatives • Strong organizational, operational, and project management skills with the ability to develop scalable communication processes, manage customer advocacy programs, and effectively prioritize multiple initiatives • Strategic communication skills, including the ability to tailor messaging based on audience, communication channel, and business objectives • Demonstrated adaptability and initiative, with the ability to anticipate business needs and manage competing priorities • Proficiency in English is necessary for job-related communication, including understanding policies, writing correspondence, and engaging with colleagues or clients. Manage and respond to client inquiries with an emphasis on long-term partnership. Ensure optimum client performance by successfully and compliantly maximizing cash collections and A/R follow-up, while providing excellent service. Major Responsibilities/Activities • Successfully manage multiple high profile clients through holistic revenue cycle and relationship managment excellence. • Leverage healthcare expertise, love for relationships and value communication, and passion for finding truths and insights through analytics to improve client financial performance and advocate for our client’s patients and communities • Align internal and external project teams and other entities to enrich our client’s experience through our services and technology offerings • Enable our client’s focus on safety and the highest quality patient care possible by communicating insightful financial and operational metrics, keeping abreast of and sharing compliance and regulatory updates, and maintaining surveillance on business performance • Ensure clients enjoy the full benefit and value of their engagement of EMS|MC by fostering, identifying, and deepening high value and high impact relationships throughout our client’s organizations. • Creatively identify opportunities to improve financial performance and capitalize on additional opportunities for revenue that align with our client’s values and interests. • Foster continuing camaraderie, cultural alignment and growth, and internal impact through effective and professional written and verbal communication. • Maintain continuity of relationships with our clients and ensure EMS|MC alignment our client’s goals and concerns through timely documentation of meetings and other significant interactions. • Manage risks and maximize opportunities for our new clients by managing, and participating in, implementation projects as EMS|MC continues to grow and deliver greater value to our clients and to the industry • Safeguard the continuity of business process support for our clients by monitoring contract status and proactively engaging efforts to renew and extend beneficial engagement contracts • Leverage EMS|MC University courses, external learning opportunities, and self-guided learning to drive continuous personal improvement Other Responsibilities/Activities • Assist the Sales and Marketing department by identifying new relationships through established networks, ensuring client satisfaction to create “reference-able” clients. • Participate in company meetings, committees, employee events, client events, etc. • Serve as a resource and backup to other departments as directed to manage backlogs and address problems. • Conduct training and/or attend meetings to ensure thorough internal knowledge of client needs & specifications. • Perform other necessary tasks as assigned by supervisor. • Conduct all job tasks, duties, and interactions with professionalism, respect, confidentiality, a positive attitude, and in accordance with company compliance policies and applicable government regulations. • Consistently support and demonstrate the company vision and values. Requirements Required Education, Skills, & Experience • Associates degree or higher in Business Administration, Healthcare, or related field. • Successful experience in healthcare billing and reimbursement, client account management, sales, or marketing. • Internal motivation and drive to learn and maintain knowledge of relevant payer, compliance and regulatory requirements and trends • Critical thinking and analytic skills • Ability to travel up 50% • Strong organizational and time management skills • Comfort with public speaking to audiences of varying sizes and background • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and web-based application platforms Preferred Education, Skills, & Experience • Bachelor’s degree in finance, healthcare, marketing, or another business-related field strongly preferred. • Career history that demonstrates progressively increasing levels of responsibility • Experience related to healthcare or EMS billing and/or revenue cycle management • Proficient in a variety of technology applications, including software packages and software-as-a-service – Salesforce.com, MS Project or Smartsheet experience Working Environment/Physical Requirements • Frequent travel required • General office environment • Typing, sitting, standing, walking, some light lifting • Use of basic office equipment such as computer, fax, printer, copier, telephone • Please note, our hiring process typically lasts 2-4 weeks with three to four interviews total.*
