Lead technical design and development of a core platform, modernize legacy systems, architect cloud/on-prem deployments, and mentor teams. | 8+ years full-stack experience with 3+ years in lead/architect role, strong Python backend skills, React frontend, Docker and Kubernetes expertise, legacy system migration experience, and familiarity with Microsoft technologies and EDI workflows. | Description: • Drive technical design, hands-on development, and modernization of core platform (Python, React, Docker, PostgreSQL, AWS). • Architect cloud-based and on-prem deployments; define API design, security, scalability, fault tolerance. • Lead migration from .exe and Advantage DB to Docker-based web deployments and PostgreSQL; app refactoring and modularization. • Evaluate third-party tools; integration with document management systems. • Write production-ready code using Python (Django/Flask), Celery, PostgreSQL; develop frontend with React, TypeScript/JavaScript, Kendo React, SCSS. • Build and consume RESTful APIs; integrate with EDI workflows. • Define deployment strategies with Docker/OpenShift/Kubernetes; collaborate with DevOps to enhance pipelines. • AWS services usage; Route53, AWS Certificate Manager, secure file storage. • Lead code reviews and mentorship; coordinate with product managers. • Third-Party Integration: SendGrid for transactional email, Twilio for SMS. Requirements: • 8+ years of full-stack development experience, with at least 3 years in a technical lead or architect role. • Deep expertise in Backend: Python (Django/Flask), Celery, PostgreSQL • Frontend: React, TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML/CSS/SCSS, Kendo React • Experience designing, building, and securing RESTful APIs at scale. • Proficiency in Docker, CI/CD, and container orchestration platforms (e.g., OpenShift or Kubernetes). • Proven ability to break down monolithic or legacy systems and lead modernization efforts. • Experience migrating from legacy technologies such as: Advantage DB • Legacy programming environments like Delphi, VB.NET, or WinForms • Exposure to Microsoft technologies (C#, .NET Core, SQL Server, Azure), especially useful for acquired products. • Familiarity with EDI standards and workflows.
