Manage and maintain Linux clusters and SAP HANA appliance servers across physical and cloud environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and security with automation and incident management. | Requires strong Linux clustering, SAP HANA appliance, cloud platform expertise, scripting skills, ITIL experience, and willingness for on-call and weekend support. | About The Role We are seeking an experienced Linux Pacemaker Administrator with expertise in Cluster File Management (CFM) on Physical Hardware and Cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP). The role involves managing mission-critical infrastructure, supporting SAP HANA appliance servers, and ensuring high availability of Linux environments across on-premises and cloud ecosystems. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting, automation, and performance optimization skills with the ability to support enterprise-scale environments. Key Responsibilities • Manage and maintain SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments. • Administer and support IBM, Fujitsu, and HP SAP HANA appliance servers. • Build and reimage Linux servers in physical and virtual environments. • Manage Linux VMs running in VMware ESX environments. • Provide L3/L4 support for complex incidents and escalations. • Perform OS patching, upgrades, and proactive system maintenance. • Administer and troubleshoot NFS, Samba, FTP, LDAP, and NTP services. • Work with SAN/NAS storage environments, RAID, and LVM. • Monitor infrastructure health and optimize performance using monitoring tools. • Ensure OS-level security hardening, backup/recovery strategies, HA/DR readiness, and performance tuning. • Support and optimize SAP systems within SAP ECS running on Azure and multi-cloud environments. • Follow Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes for production systems. • Develop and implement automation solutions to reduce manual effort and improve system reliability. • Collaborate with global teams and provide on-call/weekend support as needed. Required Technical Skills • Strong expertise in Linux Pacemaker clustering and CFM (Cluster File Management). • In-depth knowledge of SUSE and Red Hat Linux administration. • Hands-on experience with SAP HANA appliance servers (IBM, Fujitsu, HP). • Proficiency in cloud platforms – AWS, Azure, or GCP. • Experience with Configuration Management tools – Ansible, Puppet, or Chef. • Strong scripting skills (Shell, Python, Perl, Go) for automation. • Good understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DHCP, IP Routing, DNS). • Knowledge of IT security practices including OS hardening. • Exposure to high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) strategies. • Familiarity with monitoring tools and proactive system performance analysis.
