Manage and support enterprise Windows environments, Microsoft 365 services, user administration, security, and infrastructure operations. | 6+ years as Windows System Administrator with strong Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure AD, Intune, PowerShell, and virtualization experience. | Title Windows Systems Admin with Microsoft 365 Location-Remote @ New York -Prefer Locals Duration Contract Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Windows System Administrator with strong expertise in Microsoft 365 administration and Windows infrastructure support. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing enterprise Windows environments, Microsoft 365 services, user administration, system security, and infrastructure operations. The candidate should possess hands-on experience with Windows Server technologies, Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra ID, and Microsoft cloud services. Key Responsibilities • Administer and support Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Intune. • Manage and maintain Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022). • Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and user access management. • Configure and manage Azure AD / Entra ID, MFA, Conditional Access, and identity management solutions. • Perform Microsoft 365 user provisioning, mailbox administration, licensing, and security configuration. • Monitor server performance, system health, backups, and security compliance. • Troubleshoot issues related to Windows servers, Microsoft 365 applications, authentication, and endpoint management. • Manage endpoint devices using Microsoft Intune and Endpoint Manager. • Implement patch management, software deployment, and system upgrades. • Support virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V. • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation and administration tasks. • Collaborate with security, networking, and application teams to resolve infrastructure issues. • Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and system inventories. • Participate in on-call support and incident management activities as needed. Required Skills & Qualifications • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. • 6+ years of experience as a Windows System Administrator or Infrastructure Administrator. • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration. • Expertise in: • Windows Server Administration • Active Directory & Group Policy • Microsoft 365 / Office 365 • Exchange Online • Microsoft Teams • SharePoint Online • Azure AD / Entra ID • Intune / Endpoint Manager • Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation. • Knowledge of MFA, Conditional Access, and Microsoft security best practices. • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V. • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication and documentation skills. Preferred Qualifications • Microsoft certifications such as: • Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert • Azure Administrator Associate • Windows Server certifications • Experience with hybrid infrastructure environments. • Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions. • Exposure to cybersecurity and compliance frameworks.
