Your Role in Our Success The Commercial Loan Closer is responsible for managing the end-to-end closing process for commercial loans, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness. This role serves as a critical liaison between internal teams, borrowers, attorneys, title companies, and other third parties to facilitate a smooth and efficient loan closing. This role reviews loan documents, coordinates funding logistics, and ensures all required conditions are met prior to disbursement, safeguarding the institution’s interests while delivering a high level of service. This position will be required to work the hours of 8:30-5:30 EST. • Draft and review commercial loan documents for accuracy and compliance • Coordinate simultaneous closings for both simple and complex loan transactions • Order and review title searches, commitments, and related documents • Collect and review due diligence materials (e.g., corporate documents, leases, subordination agreements) • Collaborate with underwriters to complete and verify due diligence • Maintain and update electronic checklists to track closing requirements • Organize and manage digital loan files for accuracy and accessibility • Communicate with internal teams, borrowers, attorneys, and third parties to ensure timely, accurate closings • Performs other related duties as assigned by management. Requirements: What You Bring to the Table • Associate or Bachelor degree in business administration, finance, paralegal studies, legal studies, real estate. • 3+ years of experience in commercial loan closing in credit unions or commercial banking. • 2+ years of direct SBA/504 loan closing experience • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines simultaneously. • High attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing legal and financial documents. • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for working with internal teams and external stakeholders. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with loan origination or document management systems.
