Lead installation, configuration, upgrades, and architecture design of IBM UrbanCode Deploy, manage environments and licenses, develop custom plugins, and implement automation pipelines. | 4+ years of IBM UrbanCode Deploy experience, software upgrade and administration skills, coding in Groovy/Ansible/Python, RHEL familiarity, and experience with CI/CD and containerization tools. | Description: Our client has an immediate need for a Lead DevOps Engineer – IBM UrbanCode Deploy Architect, which requires hands-on expertise in installation, configuration, administration, architecture, and upgrade lifecycle of UDeploy environments Requirements: • Bachelor's degree is a plus • 4+ experience with IBM UrbanCode Deploy (uDeploy) • Software upgrade experience with UDeploy • Installation, configuration, and overall administration, software engineering, and support (UDeploy) experience • Experience with IBM license key center for the process of managing Udeploy licenses • Onboarding of consumers of the Udeploy application experience • Coding experience (Groovy, Ansible, Python, etc..) • Experience building and supporting Udeploy custom plugins (ex, integration with ServiceNow) • Familiarity in working with and using RHEL • Ansible scripting experience is a plus • Automating various engineering tasks, including installation, configuration, upgrades, etc. • GitHub Enterprise, Jenkins experience is a plus • Knowledge of and experience with Blue/Green deployments is a plus • Knowledge of and experience with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus • Familiarity with Java development, as this supports a Java application that we have that wraps the UDClient, is a plus Responsibilities: • Lead the installation, configuration, upgrades, and architecture design of IBM UrbanCode Deploy (UDeploy) • Administer and manage UDeploy environments, including license management via IBM License Key Center • Support onboarding of application teams as consumers of the UDeploy platform • Develop and maintain custom UDeploy plugins, including integrations with tools like ServiceNow • Manage deployments using Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Helm, ensuring high availability and reliability • Implement and maintain automation pipelines using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and Jenkins (JCasC) • Script and develop tooling using languages such as Groovy, Python, Bash, or Golang • Leverage Git-based repositories (Bitbucket, GitHub Enterprise, Azure DevOps) to manage source control and configurations • Apply CI/CD best practices to streamline software delivery and infrastructure changes • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and improve deployment processes • Support internal Java applications that wrap the UDClient For a complete listing of all ConsultUSA jobs please visit www.consultusa.com
