Leading product development and collaboration with technical and clinical teams to meet laboratory and healthcare needs. | Extensive experience in LIS or laboratory workflows, healthcare informatics, and relevant certifications in laboratory science. | The Product Manager for Laboratory leads the development and enhancement of our laboratory solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemistry, hematology, anatomic pathology, microbiology, laboratory workflows, and LIS management or administration. This role requires close collaboration with engineering, clinical stakeholders, and regulatory teams to ensure our software meets the evolving needs of laboratories and healthcare providers. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Define and drive the product roadmap for Laboratory Information System (LIS) software. Gather and analyze customer needs, industry trends, and regulatory requirements to inform product development; Collaborate with software engineers, designers, and QA teams to ensure timely and high-quality product releases; Work closely with laboratory administrators, Clinical Laboratory Scientists, pathologists, and lab technicians to validate requirements and optimize user experience; Develop detailed product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria; Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., CLIA, CAP, FDA, HIPAA); Provide subject matter expertise in LIS configuration, workflow optimization, and interoperability with other healthcare systems, diagnostic instruments, reference labs, and downstream systems; Facilitate the development of internal testing and external training programs to educate client staff on system features and capabilities as they are implemented across the customer base; Participate in national, regional, and local events that position CliniComp as a leader in the use of information technology, including tradeshows and user group meetings. Assist in product demonstrations and business development opportunities; Investigate and resolve matters of significance related to quality assurance, system change requests, usability issues, technical support, and device integration, and coordinate with business partners as needed; Provide consultation and advice to business partners and leadership at CliniComp. Required Bachelor degree in Healthcare Informatics, Laboratory Science, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience; 5+ years of experience in laboratory information systems (LIS) product management, administration, and/or implementation; Strong understanding of anatomic pathology workflows, including specimen tracking, grossing, reporting, and digital pathology; Experience working with LIS software, laboratory operations, and integration with healthcare IT systems; Familiarity with regulatory compliance and industry standards affecting LIS and laboratory operations. Preferred Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning applications in pathology and laboratory diagnostics. Certifications/Licenses: PA(ASCP), HTL(ASCP), CT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP) or other licensed lab professional, upon hire, required and must be maintained throughout employment.
