The business supports a broad customer base through a combination of internal teams, external partners, systems, vendors, and operational processes. As the company continues to mature, the organization is focused on strengthening procurement discipline, improving vendor oversight, enhancing spend visibility, and ensuring purchasing activity is aligned with business priorities. They are seeking an Interim Procurement Manager to support sourcing, supplier management, contract coordination, purchasing operations, spend analysis, and cross-functional stakeholder engagement. This role is well suited for a hands-on procurement professional who can balance strategic sourcing initiatives with day-to-day execution, manage supplier relationships, and help ensure procurement activity supports cost discipline, service quality, business continuity, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate brings strong procurement fundamentals, experience negotiating supplier agreements, comfort working across multiple indirect spend categories, and the ability to partner effectively with Finance, Legal, Technology, Operations, and business stakeholders. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Lead sourcing activities, including vendor evaluations, competitive bid processes, supplier comparisons, and commercial negotiations. • Support RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, and other sourcing events to evaluate supplier capabilities, pricing, service levels, and overall fit. • Negotiate pricing, contract terms, service expectations, renewal provisions, & other commercial terms with suppliers. • Identify opportunities to reduce cost, improve supplier performance, streamline purchasing activity, and strengthen procurement processes. • Manage supplier relationships across multiple categories, including regular communication, issue resolution, performance tracking, and escalation management. • Monitor supplier performance against contractual obligations, service expectations, & key procurement metrics. • Partner with Legal, Finance, IT, Operations, Product, Engineering, Fulfillment, and business stakeholders on contract reviews, purchasing decisions, and supplier-related matters. • Review supplier agreements, coordinate approvals, and ensure procurement documentation is complete, accurate, and properly maintained. • Support purchasing workflows, vendor onboarding, contract tracking, purchase approvals, and procurement compliance activities. • Partner with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, spend management, cost tracking, & procurement-related reporting. • Analyze purchasing activity, spend trends, supplier concentration, cost savings opportunities, and procurement performance metrics. • Prepare reporting related to sourcing initiatives, supplier activity, savings, open projects, purchasing status, and procurement priorities. • Help ensure business stakeholders receive timely procurement support while maintaining appropriate controls, approvals, and documentation standards. • Support process improvement initiatives across procurement operations, vendor management, sourcing workflows, reporting, and stakeholder communication. • Provide guidance to internal team members and business partners on procurement priorities, timelines, issue resolution, and supplier management practices. REQUIREMENTS: • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Operations, or a related field required. • 4 to 8+ years of procurement, strategic sourcing, vendor management, supply chain, or purchasing operations experience. • Demonstrated experience negotiating supplier agreements, pricing, commercial terms, renewals, and contract provisions. • Strong understanding of strategic sourcing methods, supplier evaluation, procurement workflows, purchasing controls, and vendor management practices. • Experience managing suppliers across multiple indirect spend categories such as technology, professional services, outsourced services, operations support, corporate services, or business support functions. • Ability to partner effectively with Finance, Legal, Technology, Operations, and other cross-functional stakeholders. • Strong analytical and financial acumen with experience reviewing spend data, supplier costs, savings opportunities, vendor performance, and procurement metrics. • Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, purchasing decisions, spend tracking, or supplier-related financial analysis preferred. • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to build credibility across business teams and supplier relationships. • Ability to balance strategic sourcing priorities with hands-on procurement execution in a fast-paced environment. • Strong project management, organization, follow-through, and documentation skills. • Experience improving procurement processes, approval workflows, supplier reporting, vendor management practices, or purchasing controls preferred. • Comfortable operating independently, making sound commercial recommendations, and managing multiple priorities with limited supervision. • Experience with procurement, ERP, spend management, contract management, vendor management, or payment platforms preferred.
