Job Summary The Specialist, Procurement Systems and Processes will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day management of the source to pay platform and system administration. Essential Functions Establish relationships with key business stakeholders to develop and implement efficient, effective, and user-friendly processes throughout the system implementation. As part of the implementation process, work with suppliers and support enablement activities. Assist in the design and configuration of the system to account for new process requests/requirements that may arise. Assists with and help lead various implementation system set-up aspects for each module (i.e., parameter set-up, creates job files for processing, etc.). Prepare the procurement team and internal/external stakeholders for the system enhancements and provide training or support to internal/external stakeholders. Communicates the needs/expectations with software provider, implementation consultants, other team members, and team leader Maintains effective communication with stakeholders throughout the system implementation. Troubleshooting system issues and work with stakeholders to prioritize and resolve. Assist in the development of presentations to communicate with and influence a wide range of stakeholders. May perform other job duties as assigned Education Description Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or Supply Chain or equivalent work-related experience is required. Experience At least three years of project management, operations, or IT admin experience. Thorough understanding of Source-to-Pay processes Familiarity with compliance (regulatory, SOX, etc.) and governance issues. Finance or Procurement background or experience as a Business Analyst is a plus. Advanced certifications in Project Management, Sourcing or Procurement a plus. Job Summary The Senior Project Manager, on the Grid Reliability Team will be working in a self-directed manner, they serve as a single point of contact for reliability distribution projects and are viewed as the technical expert of their field. Responsible for project management from inception to completion and maintaining relationships internally and externally to complete projects successfully. Manage internal and external resources to meet department commitments. Demonstrates expert level of proficiency in most, if not all, of the technical skill areas required in the service consultant function (feeder development, road widening, 12 kV, 35 kV, MUG, commercial development, reliability, Line Extension Policy, Service Extension Manual, URD joint trench, street lighting, etc.). These activities require consideration of cost effectiveness, future growth, safety and other code requirements, processes, and customer.Essential Functions Project management for full lifecycle of system reliability planned and proactive capital rehabilitation of the overhead distribution system. Coordinate and oversee contractor resource support for reliability projects and programs (large capital projects, FUW, RT10, RT300, PTSP, etc.). Single point of contact from inception to completion of large capital project management functions including, but not limited to prioritization, planning, evaluation, inspection, design, work order review, tree trimming, permits, staking, easements, customer concerns, invoice review, and contractor coordination. Work cross functionally to ensure reliability projects and programs are in alignment with company goals and objectives, including prevention of duplicate efforts. Evaluation of existing reliability processes and methods for standardization and improvement opportunities including but not limited to training, technology, and ensuring other groups are aware of reliability efforts. Gather, analyze, and design distribution facilities and create construction plan documents, including material and labor. Prepare construction sketches, layouts and drawing of existing and proposed distribution facilities. Be able to identify, evaluate, and if necessary correct issues related to compliance to governmental regulations, code violations, and CenterPoint Energy standards.Corrective action may require negotiation with customers related to safety, cost, and legal responsibility. Evaluate equipment type, size, and location. Review facilities for compliance with the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC), National Electric Code (NEC), city and county ordinances and CenterPoint Energy standards. Essential Functions cont'd Review work orders for accuracy and ensure proper design criteria. Analyze distribution reliability service issues and recommend appropriate corrective action taking into account budget constraints. Perform inspections as needed for final project approval and to ensure field readiness. Review property information to confirm legal rights of ownership for easement acquisition. Partner with others to provide assistance and direction on difficult/complex projects. Participate in CenterPoint Energy's All Hazards Operations Plan (AHOP). Education Description Requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited college. Area of concentration in construction science, construction management, engineering, or technology preferred. Six (6+) years of experience within project management, construction management, engineering, or technology may be accepted in lieu of education requirement. Professional certifications in project management desired but not required. Experience Minimum of five (5+) years of project management, construction management, construction engineering, or construction technology, preferably for an electric utility. Knowledge of electric distribution systems. Working Conditions Able to support the Emergency Operating Plan.
