Job Summary: As an Oral Surgery Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting our oral surgeon during procedures and ensuring the comfort and safety of our patients. You will be responsible for preparing the surgical area, sterilizing instruments, and providing support throughout the surgical process. Your expertise and empathy will contribute to a positive patient experience and help our practice deliver high-quality care. Hours: Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM and every other Friday from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM Location: Farmington Hills, MI Pleasant atmosphere and positive attitude all the time. If you think that you are the right candidate, we invite you to apply for this rewarding position. www.drerpardo.com Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Assist the oral surgeon in preparing the treatment room and necessary instruments for oral surgery procedures. • Sterilize and maintain surgical instruments and equipment to ensure compliance with infection control protocols. • Greet and prepare patients for oral surgery, ensuring they feel at ease and addressing any questions or concerns. • Assist the oral surgeon during procedures, anticipating their needs and providing the necessary instruments and materials. • Monitor patients' vital signs and well-being throughout the surgery, maintaining a safe and comfortable environment. • Educate patients about post-operative care and provide instructions for their recovery. • Record patient information and maintain accurate and organized patient records. • Collaborate with the dental team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient clinic operations. • Taking necessary x-rays / taking impressions, Qualifications • High school or equivalent • At least two years of previous experience as an dental assistant or in a related field • Registered Dental Assistant (Preferred) • X-Ray Certification (Preferred) • Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic computer functions. • Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
