Support and maintain internal network, administer Microsoft systems, support VMware environments, and troubleshoot network issues. | 2-3 years of IT or network administration experience, knowledge of Cisco switches, SonicWall firewalls, and ability to support customer networks. | This position is focused primarily on supporting and maintaining our internal network environment of approximately 70–100 users. The environment is largely Microsoft-based, includes VMware virtualization, and is supported by an on-premises data center. After an initial onboarding/probation period, the role will transition into customer network implementation and support. This is a hands-on network administrator role intended for someone with solid fundamentals and the ability to grow into customer-facing responsibilities. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Support and maintain internal network • Administer Microsoft-based systems and services • Support VMware virtual environments • Manage and troubleshoot network switching (primarily Cisco) • Configure and maintain firewalls (primarily SonicWall; experience with other GUI-based firewalls preferred) • Support on-premises data center operations • Perform general network troubleshooting and maintenance EXPANDED RESPONSIBILITIES: • Deploy and support customer networks • Configure and support customer routing, switching, and firewall environments • Work with platforms such as Ubiquiti EdgeRouters, Peplink, Cradlepoint, and similar technologies • Provide phone and on-site support for local customers • Assist with customer network upgrades, troubleshooting, and ongoing support EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS: • 2–3 years overall experience in IT or network administration • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching) • Experience working in Microsoft environments • Working knowledge of VMware • Experience with Cisco switches preferred • Experience with SonicWall or other GUI-based firewalls • Ability to perform basic cabling, patching, and rack/closet work is a plus • Experience with VoIP systems and SIP phones is a strong bonus REQUIREMENTS: • Valid driver’s license • Ability to travel locally to customer sites • Strong communication skills • Comfortable providing phone and in-person support • Professional demeanor when working with customers LONG-TERM EXPECTATIONS: • Approximately 60% internal systems and 40% customer support • First 3 months: primarily internal network and systems work while learning the environment POSITION DETAILS: • Full-time • On-site with local travel.
