A Better Opportunity Better is growing, and we’re looking for a Business Development Associate – Mortgage Technology Sales to help support key growth initiatives across strategic partnerships, client relationships, and operational development. This role is ideal for a high-performing professional with 2+ years of experience in banking or financial services who is looking to apply their skills in a fast-paced, high-impact environment. You’ll work across teams—including Strategy, Product, and Operations—to help drive new business opportunities, support partner engagement, and strengthen Better’s market position. Responsibilities • Support strategic growth efforts by researching markets, identifying potential partners, leading client pitches and outreach • Manage pipeline of customers - lead client interactions, run demos, foster long term business relationships with prospects • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support client onboarding, engagement, and success • Analyze internal and external data to surface trends, opportunities, and strategic insights • Assist in developing business cases for new initiatives and expansion opportunities • Help improve and scale internal business development processes • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment across product offerings and client needs • Track key performance indicators (KPIs), report on business development efforts, and identify areas for improvement Qualifications • 2+ years of experience in mortgage, investment banking, corporate strategy, or a client-facing role in financial services or fintech • Bachelor’s degree required; business, economics, or finance-related majors preferred • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to extract insights from data and communicate them effectively • Strong communication and presentation skills; comfortable preparing materials for both internal leadership and external stakeholders • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects at once • Proactive and entrepreneurial mindset; thrives in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities The base compensation range for this role is $125,000 + up to 100% performance bonus of base salary Company Benefits We are thrilled to offer all our full-time employees the following benefit offerings: • Benefits eligibility effective DAY ONE • *$0 medical plan premium offering coverage nationwide paired with our Health Savings Account that includes an employer contribution (*Additional Medical, dental, vision plan options also all with nationwide coverage) • Flexible PTO • Immediate virtual mental health support by licensed therapists for our employees and their eligible dependents age 6 and up! Responsibilities • Support the NEO Secondary Market Analyst in the following areas: • Assist in fielding pricing questions and troubleshooting pricing issues from NEO production team • Support in lock execution, lock extension and relock activities for the NEO production team with the Lock Desk • Provide reporting data for Secondary Market Analyst to identify pricing behavior, track pricing drift and overall capital market economics • Assist in investor relations, guideline review and new product rollout • Work with FP&A team to reconcile capital market events (i.e. PA recon fees, concession requests, etc.) Non-Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities • Adopts NEOs values in work behavior, decision making, contributions and interpersonal interactions. • Promotes interdepartmental communication and culture. • Lead, develop and motivate the team across all locations and operational functions. • Continued focus to ensure all families (Internal and External) are receiving the best possible service.
