Provide commercial real estate paralegal support including document review, transaction coordination, and closing management. | At least three years commercial real estate paralegal experience with strong organizational skills and ability to manage transactions independently. | Bear Peak Law, PLLC is a Boulder-based boutique transactional real estate firm representing developers, builders, and investors in sophisticated commercial real estate matters across Colorado. Our practice includes acquisitions and dispositions, master-planned community development, joint ventures, real estate finance, and urban renewal and TIF matters. Role Description We are seeking an experienced commercial real estate paralegal to provide ongoing support on a flexible, project-based basis. This is a contract role designed for someone who has existing professional commitments but has the capacity to take ownership of discrete assignments and help keep active transactions moving. The work will include: • Reviewing title commitments, surveys, and recorded exception documents • Preparing title and survey summaries and tracking objection items • Managing closing and due-diligence checklists • Monitoring critical dates across multiple active transactions • Coordinating with title companies, clients, and opposing counsel on routine closing matters • Preparing signature packets, closing documents, and organized closing files • Supporting the preparation and administration of purchase and sale agreements and related transaction documents Qualifications The right candidate will have: • At least three years of commercial real estate paralegal or title-company experience • Strong familiarity with title commitments, Schedule B exceptions, recorded documents, surveys, and closing mechanics • The judgment to identify issues, ask focused questions, and distinguish substantive concerns from routine administrative matters • Excellent organizational and written communication skills • The ability to manage assignments independently, meet transaction-driven deadlines, and provide clear status updates • Experience with Clio or similar practice-management software preferred • Colorado commercial real estate experience strongly preferred Structure: • Independent-contractor engagement paid hourly • Ongoing overflow work based on transaction volume • Flexible scheduling with no guaranteed minimum number of hours • Remote-friendly, with occasional in-person coordination in Boulder • Compatible with other employment or contract work, subject to applicable employer policies and conflict requirements
