Lead materials planning, inventory, and logistics to ensure efficient flow and on-time delivery in a manufacturing environment. | Requires automotive manufacturing experience, leadership in materials/logistics, knowledge of JIT, ERP/MRP systems, and strong organizational skills. | Logistics and Materials Manager • Monroe, Ohio • $110,000 – $125,000 (DOE) + 10% Bonus • Monday – Friday (Days) • Automotive Manufacturing We are working on behalf of a high-volume Tier 1 automotive manufacturing facility in Monroe, Ohio, to recruit an experienced Logistics and Materials Manager. This is a key leadership role within a fast-paced, just-in-time production environment, responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of materials across the entire plant. You will lead a core materials team (6–8 direct reports) across planning, inventory, and shipping, with oversight of a wider team of material handlers and drivers (~15–20) supporting plant operations. This role is critical to maintaining on-time delivery, production efficiency, and customer satisfaction in a demanding automotive environment Duties and responsibilities as the Logistics Manager/Materials Manager include: • Lead the materials, planning, and logistics function across the facility • Manage the flow of materials from receipt through to shipment • Oversee production scheduling and inventory control to support JIT manufacturing • Ensure on-time delivery and customer requirements are consistently met • Drive inventory accuracy, FIFO, and cost control initiatives • Manage and develop the Materials team, including supervisors and coordinators • Maintain accuracy across EDI, ERP/MRP systems, and reporting • Act as a key link between operations, supply chain, and customers • Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives (TPS, TPM, Kaizen, 5S) Experienced Required: • Automotive manufacturing experience is essential • Proven leadership experience within materials, supply chain, logistics in a manufacturing plant • Strong understanding of just-in-time (JIT) environments and high-volume production • Experience across production planning, inventory control, and shipping/logistics • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (Oracle preferred), EDI, and inventory systems • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills • Ability to manage both people and process in a fast-paced environment Commutable from: Dayton, Cincinnati, Monroe, Mason, Middletown, Springboro, Hamilton, Fairfield, Loveland, Sharonville, Lebanon We are also open to candidates currently operating as: Supply Chain Manager, Materials & Planning Manager, Production Planning Manager, Logistics Manager (Manufacturing), Inventory Control Manager, Operations / Materials Manager.
