Job Role As a Product Owner for Guard, you will be responsible for turning our product vision and strategy into actionable plans for the development team. You will own the product backlog, define priorities, and ensure every release delivers measurable value to our users. Your goal: bridge the gap between customer needs, business objectives, and technical execution — ensuring every feature we ship truly matters. Additionally, you will own end-to-end product documentation, user guides, release notes, and the mechanics of our release calendar. One of your primary objectives is to ensure every customer, partner, and colleague knows exactly “what shipped, why it matters, and how to use it” the moment a build goes live. Responsibilities: • Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring alignment with the overall product roadmap and business goals. • Collaborate with the Product Manager and Director of Product Management to translate strategic objectives into clear, actionable user stories and epics. • Define and communicate product requirements, acceptance criteria, and success metrics for development teams. • Prioritize features and bug fixes based on impact, customer feedback, and technical feasibility. • Lead sprint planning, backlog refinement, and daily stand-ups, ensuring development teams have clear priorities. • Collaborate with Engineering, QA, and DevOps to plan and oversee release readiness — including testing, code-freeze, and deployment validation. • Partner with Customer Success and Support to capture post-release feedback and incorporate learnings into future sprints. • Track and report on key product performance metrics, such as adoption, usage, and customer satisfaction. • Ensure documentation and release notes reflect real product outcomes, but delegate their creation to relevant stakeholders rather than owning them directly. • Responsibility to adhere to set internal controls. Experience & Desired Skills: • 1–3 years of experience in Product Ownership, Product Management, or Product Operations, preferably in SaaS or DevOps environments. • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and sprint management. • Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Git, and CI/CD pipelines. • Ability to translate business goals into technical requirements and balance competing priorities. • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. • Experience collaborating with distributed teams across US, Europe, and APAC. • Familiarity with Salesforce metadata, packaging, and sandbox management is a plus.
