Lead complex HR initiatives, support executive teams, and mentor HR staff across client accounts. | Requires 8-10+ years of HR experience with leadership, expertise in employment law, benefits, organizational design, and HR systems. | Job Description: • Serve as a senior HR advisor to select clients, particularly those in: Startup, scale-up, PE/VC-backed, or transformation stages • Lead complex HR initiatives across: Compliance and risk management, Benefits strategy, Talent management and performance frameworks, HR systems and automation, Organizational planning and change, Employee relations and sensitive issues • Conduct HR audits and deliver actionable recommendations • Support executive teams with practical, business-aligned HR strategy • Lead, mentor, and grow our HR team • Own training and ramp-up for new HR teammates • Establish and continuously improve internal HR service delivery processes • Oversee client onboarding, ensuring consistency, quality, and strong first impressions • Coach HR Managers on: HR competencies, Prioritization and workload management, Executive presence and communication • Partner with leadership to identify gaps, develop talent, and scale the team thoughtfully • Ensure consistent, high-quality HR delivery across all client accounts Requirements: • 8–10+ years of progressive HR experience, with clear leadership responsibility • Proven experience in: Startups, scale-ups, and/or PE/VC-backed companies • High-growth or evolving environments • Strong people leader with a track record of mentoring and developing HR talent • Comfortable balancing strategy and execution • Highly organized, decisive, and able to lead through ambiguity • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Deep knowledge of: Employment law and compliance (multi-state required; CA experience strongly preferred) • Compensation and benefits strategy • Organizational design and workforce planning • Employee relations and investigations • Strong understanding of HR systems and process automation.
