You will support customers in optimising build performance, scaling infrastructure, and improving development velocity. Job requirements: • 7+ years’ experience in the power and infrastructure sector, with exposure to the following fields being a benefit: • Data center or large load grid connections • Greenfield renewable or thermal generation development and grid connections • Power systems or transmission planning engineering • Familiarity with ERCOT market rules and established relationships with utilities and operators • Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end project development, including site selection, due diligence, permitting and other elements related to securing grid connections • Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks, permitting processes, grid connection processes, power procurement agreements (PPA) • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Advance Microsoft Office skills • Strong presentation skills • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance or Economics Job responsibilities: • Lead the end-to-end grid interconnection process for greenfield data center developments, including managing key stakeholders such as utilities and grid consultants through transmission planning and grid studies • Represent us in ERCOT and PUCT forums, industry working groups, and commissioner-level engagements to influence policy and regulatory outcomes. • Develop and execute regulatory engagement strategies, shaping emerging policies that impact large-load interconnections. • Manage the commercial aspects of interconnection agreements, PPAs, and regulatory filings, ensuring alignment with technical feasibility. • Collaborate closely with internal and external engineering teams to translate commercial goals into viable grid connection solutions. • Build and maintain strong relationships with transmission service providers, utilities, consultants, and industry associations. • Assess market opportunities, including transmission capacity, pricing impacts, and interconnection feasibility. • Provide thought leadership on grid innovation, including participation in trials, voltage ride-through solutions, and system resiliency initiatives. • Support permitting, procurement, and contract negotiations with commercial and technical input. • Travel occasionally for site visits, stakeholder meetings, and project coordination.
