Project Summary The Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer Sr is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing secure, scalable cloud infrastructure solutions within the Microsoft Azure platform. This role serves as a technical leader supporting cloud adoption, modernization, and operational excellence across enterprise environments. The engineer will partner with development, security, and IT operations teams to deliver highly available and compliant cloud solutions that align with mission and business objectives. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and manage scalable and secure cloud infrastructure solutions in Microsoft Azure. Provision and configure Azure resources, including virtual machines, storage accounts, virtual networks, and associated services. Develop and maintain automated deployment pipelines and workflows using Azure DevOps, ARM templates/Bicep, PowerShell, or similar tools. Monitor cloud environments to ensure optimal performance, scalability, availability, and cost efficiency. Implement and enforce cloud security best practices, including identity management, network security, and compliance controls. Collaborate with development and operations teams to support application deployment, integration, and lifecycle management. Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, networking, and performance issues within Azure environments. Support hybrid cloud integrations and connectivity between on-premises and cloud environments. Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and best practices to teams adopting Azure services. Maintain documentation of cloud architecture, configurations, and operational procedures. Stay current with emerging Azure technologies and recommend improvements to enhance platform capabilities. Required for This Opportunity Active Top Secret security clearance. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Minimum of 8 years of experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure engineering, or related roles. Hands-on experience designing and deploying solutions in Microsoft Azure. Strong knowledge of Azure networking concepts, including VNets, NSGs, firewalls, VPNs, and ExpressRoute. Experience with automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using ARM templates, Bicep, Terraform, or similar tools. Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python. Experience implementing cloud security best practices and maintaining compliant environments. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently. Excellent communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional environments. Familiarity with Zero Trust architecture principles and identity-driven security models. Experience with hybrid cloud architectures and integration with on-premises systems. The targeted base salary range for this role is $121,000-$182,000 per year. This role will be responsible for engineering and operating solutions across the Microsoft Purview compliance portal, with emphasis on eDiscovery (Standard and Premium), content search, retention, records management, insider risk–adjacent data controls, data loss prevention, sensitivity labeling, and audit-based investigations. The ideal candidate has experience supporting legal, compliance, security, and IT stakeholders in highly regulated environments and can translate governance and discovery requirements into scalable technical solutions. Key Responsibilities Design, configure, and administer Microsoft Purview compliance capabilities across the Microsoft 365 environment.
