The OR RN plays a critical role in providing safe, high-quality patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures. Key Responsibilities: • Provide direct patient care in the operating room, including pre-op assessment, intra-op monitoring, and post-op recovery. • Prepare and maintain the operating room with sterile instruments, surgical equipment, and supplies. • Monitor vital signs and patient condition throughout surgery. • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists by anticipating needs and providing instruments and materials. • Enforce sterile technique and infection prevention protocols. • Accurately document surgical procedures, patient status, and care provided. • Collaborate closely with the surgical team to ensure safe and efficient operations. • Adhere to hospital policies, Joint Commission standards, and OSHA requirements. Qualifications: • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required. • Current Florida RN license or active compact license (required). • Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room RN experience. • Robotic surgery and orthopedic/neuro surgery experience required. • BLS certification (AHA required). • ACLS and PALS certifications preferred. • Strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and communication skills. • Ability to stay calm and focused in high-pressure surgical settings. Provide comprehensive labor and delivery nursing care for high-acuity obstetric patients, including monitoring, assisting with delivery, and collaborating with care team. | Must have at least 2 years of recent labor and delivery nursing experience, BSN, and relevant certifications such as BLS, ACLS, and NRP. | Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) – Contract / Travel – Fort Myers, FL We are seeking experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurses (RNs) for 13-week contract assignments at a respected hospital in Fort Myers, FL. Openings are available for day shift and night shift. These roles are ideal for L&D nurses with strong clinical expertise who are looking for a contract or travel opportunity. Key Responsibilities: • Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring, antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients. • Manage and support high-acuity obstetric patients, including those with complications. • Assist with labor, delivery, cesarean sections, and recovery care. • Monitor maternal and fetal status, interpreting electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) strips. • Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and other care team members. • Administer medications and interventions per provider orders and hospital protocols. • Maintain patient safety, infection prevention, and documentation standards. • Educate and support patients and families throughout the childbirth process.
