The ideal candidate will also possess the following skill set. Summary Statement The Senior Business Systems Analyst is a strategic partner in shaping and delivering innovative business solutions, leveraging deep expertise in analysis, requirements gathering, testing, and stakeholder engagement. This role involves leading complex initiatives, mentoring junior analysts, and driving process optimization efforts across the organization. As a strategic leader in Agile and SAFe methodologies, this role drives continuous improvement initiatives and cultivates seamless collaboration across cross-functional teams to accelerate the achievement of key business objectives. Essential Tasks/Major Duties Lead the end-to-end analysis of complex business processes, systems, and data to identify improvement opportunities and recommend actionable solutions. Review and develop comprehensive requirements documentation, including business requirements, functional specifications, business processes, data mapping, process flows, workflows, procedures and system controls ensuring alignment with project goals and organizational standards. Analyze and resolve high-level issues, including root cause analysis, and provide expert guidance on implementing effective solutions. Drive organizational change by driving efforts to adopt new tools, technologies, and methodologies that enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Monitor and assess key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project success and business impact. Develop and execute test plans, scenarios, and cases, leading system and user acceptance testing to ensure solutions meet requirements. Act as a liaison between business units, technical teams, and insurance industry experts, facilitating clear communication and understanding of system capabilities. Analyze data and troubleshoot issues to improve operations and solve business problems. Mentor and coach team members, fostering professional growth. Ensure that all business processes comply with regulatory and legal requirements. Prepare training materials and conduct training on new or updated systems. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Bachelor's degree in business, information systems, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certifications such as, CBAP, PMI-PBA are strongly preferred. 5 years of professional experience in business analysis, with demonstrated success in leading complex, enterprise-level projects. Advanced proficiency with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Lucidchart, SQL, testing tools, and data analysis software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). Strong expertise in data-driven decision-making, including experience with process modeling, data mapping, and system integrations. Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels. Ability to handle competing priorities and deliver results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Ideally 2 to 5 years of middle market underwriting experience, multi lines experience. Proficient computer skills required including Microsoft Office Suite.
