Lead end-to-end delivery of technical initiatives and manage cross-team dependencies within data engineering teams. | Experience driving technical program delivery, managing risks, and aligning stakeholders in Agile environments. | Technical Program Manager As a Technical Program Manager (TPM) within the Data Engineering organization, you will be one of several TPMs driving end-to-end project delivery for multiple high-velocity teams. This is a high-impact, "go-getter" role for a leader who moves beyond simply status tracking to actively accelerate progress and remove technical roadblocks. You will lead initiatives for the DTS West, IBI, and EIS teams, ensuring effective delivery through a blend of SAFe/Agile and traditional program management practices. While we operate as a global team, candidates based on the U.S. East Coast are preferred to facilitate distributed team collaboration. Key Responsibilities 1. Proactive Delivery & Execution Ownership • Drive End-to-End Delivery: Own the execution of technical initiatives, translating high-level objectives into actionable plans and managing cross-team dependencies. • Accelerate Progress: Actively remove impediments and "ruthlessly prioritize" the backlog to ensure the team remains focused on critical-path items that drive business value. • Ceremony Leadership: Lead key Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives) and manage the intake of ad-hoc items alongside major initiatives. • Queue Management: Monitor incoming request queues, surfacing new items to engineering to ensure they are tracked, estimated, and prioritized. 2. Technical SME & Risk Management • Technical Subject Matter Expertise: Become deeply familiar with the data architecture, system designs, and products of your teams to identify technical risks like architectural debt or integration issues early. • Strategic Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify and document risks and dependencies, developing and executing detailed mitigation plans before they become crises. • Decision Support: Convene the right technical experts to drive resolution on escalated issues and challenge assumptions to ensure technical feasibility. 3. Stakeholder Alignment & PMO Collaboration • Communication Bridge: Act as the primary link between engineering and stakeholders, providing clear, concise updates on progress and trade-offs while ensuring meeting efficiency. • PMO Connectivity: Collaborate with other PMs to ensure consistency across tickets and requests logged within the broader DTS team. • Strategic Planning: Lead early inception planning and support Program Increment (PI) planning and roadmap alignment. • Visibility & Reporting: Develop and maintain dashboards to provide transparency into program health, delivery predictability, and team performance.
