Our work focuses on how organizations actually operate — responsibilities, communication, processes, documentation, and technology use. We support organizations that do not have a compliance or risk department but still need structure, clarity, and internal accountability. Typical engagements include: • Organizational risk reviews • Process and responsibility mapping • Internal documentation support • Vendor and third-party risk awareness • Executive summaries and improvement action plans We do not provide IT support or software implementation. Our work helps leadership understand operations and make informed decisions. ⸻ About the Role We are seeking a curious and dependable Risk & Operations Fellow to support research, documentation, and engagement preparation activities within the practice. This is a hands-on learning opportunity designed for someone interested in consulting, nonprofit operations, governance, or cybersecurity from a business perspective. You will work directly with the founder and participate in real consulting workflows and advisory preparation. ⸻ What You’ll Do Research & Organizational Analysis • Research nonprofit and small business organizations • Summarize how organizations operate and the services they provide • Identify common operational challenges • Help build industry reference notes for future engagements Documentation Support • Assist with asset inventories and observation notes • Help organize risk registers and summaries • Format reports and executive documents • Review policies and procedures for clarity Operations & Knowledge Management • Maintain the internal Notion workspace • Organize templates, checklists, and advisory materials • Track tasks and engagement preparation steps • Record meeting notes and follow-up items Outreach Preparation (Not sales) • Build lists of organizations that may benefit from advisory support • Identify leadership contacts and public information • Prepare background summaries prior to conversations • Assist in preparing thoughtful introduction messages ⸻ What You’ll Learn • How consulting engagements actually operate • Governance and internal accountability practices • Operational process design • Risk identification in real organizations • Professional documentation and executive communication • How cybersecurity connects to business operations ⸻ Ideal Candidate No prior consulting experience required.
