The team builds and maintains the core infrastructure used by traders and quantitative researchers throughout the trading lifecycle. Their work focuses on processing large volumes of real-time data, developing high-performance services, and building scalable platforms that allow trading teams to move quickly while maintaining reliability and performance. This is a highly collaborative environment where engineers work closely with traders and quants to understand requirements, iterate quickly, and deliver solutions that have a direct impact on the business. What you'll be doing • Building and enhancing high-performance systems in modern C++ • Developing infrastructure that handles large volumes of real-time data • Improving performance, scalability, and reliability across critical production system • Working directly with traders and quantitative researchers to solve complex problem • Taking ownership of projects from design through deployment What we're looking for • 5+ years of professional C++ development experiene • Strong systems programming fundamentals • Experience working on performance-sensitive or distributed systems • Strong understanding of concurrency, networking, or Linux-based systems • Ability to communicate effectively with technical stakeholders and iterate quickly Nice to have • Experience in electronic trading, financial markets, or market data systems • Low-latency engineering experience • Cloud or Kubernetes exposure • Experience working directly with business users in a fast-paced environment Location Chicago
