Lead maintenance and operations teams to ensure safety, compliance, and asset management of rail facilities. | Requires 10 years related experience with 5 years leadership, knowledge of building systems, and ability to manage budgets and contractors. | This role is pivotal in overseeing the upkeep of rail facilities, ensuring the safety and satisfaction of both employees and customers. The Superintendent will lead teams in maintaining stations, infrastructure, and essential systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and efficient resource management. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership acumen, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of operational excellence. • Oversee the maintenance and repair of rail facilities, grounds, and equipment, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Focus on minimizing disruptions and maximizing the lifespan of assets. • Provide leadership and mentorship to front-line supervisors and employees, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Ensure maintenance activities align with established plans and standards. • Manage material inventories, utilities, and equipment to support maintenance activities, optimizing resource allocation and minimizing downtime. • Support labor contract compliance and promote positive labor relations, ensuring consistent application of policies and minimizing grievances. • Develop and manage preventive maintenance inspections and related work activities using the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system to optimize asset performance. • Execute and track long-term asset management plans, supporting timely interventions such as refurbishment, replacement, or overhaul, to maximize asset value. • Conduct annual asset condition assessments to support compliance with transit asset management programs, ensuring long-term sustainability. • Support the Public Transportation Agency Safety Plan (PTASP) and participate in safety compliance activities, promoting a culture of safety throughout the organization. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Comprehensive knowledge of building structures, including maintenance and inspection procedures, ensuring structural integrity. • In-depth knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, rail support equipment, and building-support systems, including maintenance and inspection procedures. • Proficiency in interpreting building plans, blueprints, equipment drawings, and design documents, facilitating effective maintenance and repairs. • Strong leadership and problem-resolution skills to manage personnel issues and facility maintenance challenges, ensuring smooth operations. • Ability to develop, implement, and update preventive and corrective maintenance programs, optimizing asset performance. • Proficiency in developing, managing, and monitoring operating and capital budgets, ensuring financial sustainability. • Ability to direct and monitor contractors, consultants, and direct reports to meet performance expectations and service requirements. Required Skills • High School Diploma or GED • Minimum of (10) ten years of related professional experience; minimum of (5) five years of leadership experience. • Driver's License Preferred Skills • 4 Year / Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, maintenance, or related field.
