Learn more about CCC at www.cccis.com. The Role CCC Intelligent Solutions is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer (Azure) to help design, build, secure, and operate our next-generation cloud platform. This role is a key technical contributor responsible for developing scalable, resilient, and secure cloud infrastructure that supports CCC's SaaS products and data platforms. As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will partner closely with Software Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, Security, Architecture, and Product teams to deliver cloud-native solutions that improve platform reliability, performance, automation, and operational efficiency. You will independently solve complex technical challenges, drive infrastructure modernization initiatives, and contribute to engineering best practices across the organization. This position is ideal for an experienced cloud professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys hands-on technical problem solving, and has deep expertise within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem. Key Responsibilities: Cloud Infrastructure Engineering Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable Azure cloud infrastructure supporting enterprise applications and customer-facing platforms. Build and manage Azure services including Virtual Networks, AKS, Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Storage, Key Vault, SQL Database, Cosmos DB, and other core platform services. Implement infrastructure-as-code solutions using Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, or similar technologies. Drive cloud architecture improvements focused on scalability, resiliency, performance, and cost optimization. Automation & Platform Engineering Develop automated provisioning, deployment, and operational workflows. Enhance CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms. Improve developer productivity through self-service infrastructure and platform capabilities. Establish infrastructure standards, reusable modules, and engineering best practices. Reliability, Security & Operations Design and implement monitoring, alerting, logging, and observability solutions. Partner with Security Engineering to implement cloud security controls, compliance requirements, and governance standards. Support incident response, root cause analysis, problem management, and service restoration activities. Drive proactive reliability improvements and continuous operational excellence. Technical Leadership Lead complex cloud infrastructure initiatives with minimal supervision. Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to platform architecture. Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance across teams. Participate in architecture reviews and influence cloud engineering standards and technical direction. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Engineering, Product, Architecture, Security, and Operations teams to deliver business outcomes. Translate business and technical requirements into scalable cloud solutions. Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Success in This Role Successful Senior Cloud Engineers at CCC: Operate independently with limited day-to-day oversight. Solve complex cloud infrastructure and platform challenges. Demonstrate strong ownership and accountability for technical outcomes. Influence technical decisions within their team and across partner organizations. Improve reliability, security, automation, and operational efficiency. Mentor less experienced engineers and contribute to engineering excellence. Balance technical excellence with business priorities and customer impact Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Typically 5+ years of cloud engineering, platform engineering, DevOps, SRE, infrastructure engineering, or related experience. Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services. Experience designing and supporting highly available, distributed cloud environments. Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates. Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes (AKS preferred). Experience building CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation. Strong knowledge of networking, identity, security, monitoring, and cloud governance principles. Experience troubleshooting and resolving production issues in cloud environments. Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications Microsoft Azure certifications such as: Azure Administrator Associate Azure Solutions Architect Expert Azure DevOps Engineer Expert Azure Security Engineer Associate Experience supporting SaaS platforms at enterprise scale. Experience with cloud cost optimization and FinOps practices. Experience with observability platforms such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Datadog, Grafana, or Splunk. Experience supporting multi-region deployments and disaster recovery strategies. Knowledge of software engineering practices and modern application architectures. The Role Incident Coordinator Operations Analyst is responsible for executing high-quality, timely, and customer-focused incident and maintenance communications across CCC platforms. The role reduces notification time, improves clarity and consistency of messaging, and provides leadership on major incidents by driving the communication cadence and aligning stakeholders on impact, next updates, and restoration progress. We’re looking for someone who is energized by automation and AI and excited to help CCC evolve toward real-time, self-service status updates and AI-assisted communication workflows. This role collaborates with SRE, Product, Account Teams, and vendors to deliver prompt, accurate updates and escalate outages to the right owners when needed. The successful candidate brings 2-3 years of experience in systems, IT services, incident communications, service management, or a related operational role. They demonstrate strong analytical skills, and the ability to perform in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Familiarity with the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework is a plus. Key Responsibilities: Serve as the communications lead during incidents and maintenance events, ensuring clear, accurate, and consistent messaging to customers and internal stakeholders. Provide bridge leadership during major incidents: join/establish bridges, drive communication cadence, and coordinate inputs across ICC, SRE, Product, Account Teams, and vendors. Own the communications cadence (initial notification, regular updates, mitigation/restoration, and post-incident wrap-up) and ensure updates meet defined SLAs/expectations. Maintain high-quality documentation during events (timeline, impact statements, customer-facing summaries, decisions, and follow-ups) to support post-incident reviews and reporting. Manage and triage the intake process for IT-related requests, customer questions, and escalations; route to the correct teams and track to resolution. Execute and coordinate escalations when impact, duration, or severity thresholds are met; ensure the right stakeholders are engaged quickly. Own customer communications artifacts (as applicable), ensuring accuracy, approvals, and distribution are completed on time. Own and administer the Status Page (PagerDuty Status Page or similar): publish incidents/maintenance, manage component status, maintain templates, and ensure the page reflects real-time service health. Coordinate incident follow-up activities (post-incident communications, customer-facing summaries, action item tracking) and support continuous improvement. Administer and improve operational processes and procedures related to incident communications, including templates, playbooks, and quality checks. Act as a primary contact for external customers and vendors for incident-related communications, ensuring a professional, empathetic, and customer-first experience. Participate in an on-call rotation to support incident communications and customer updates during off-hours, weekends, and holidays as needed. Requirements: 2+ years of experience in incident communications, IT operations support, service management, or customer communications in a production environment. Able to translate technical updates into clear, customer-ready messaging. Experience operating in high-pressure environments with strong attention to detail and quality control. Exposure to automation and/or AI-assisted workflows (as a user or contributor). Ability to lead/facilitate collaboration across multiple teams and stakeholders, including vendors and customer-facing teams. Strong analytical skills and comfort using metrics and reporting to drive improvements. Self-starter who can work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple concurrent incidents/issues. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with incident management practices (major incident processes, post-incident reviews, and follow-up tracking).
