Job Title: Supply Chain Analyst **CANDIDATES MUST BE LOCAL TO SOLON, OHIO AS POSITION IS HYBRID** Job Description The Supply Chain Analyst plays a key role in optimizing inventory deployment, order fulfillment, and supply chain performance across plants, distribution centers, and regions. This position owns short- and mid-term inventory decisions, leads allocation strategies during constrained supply situations, and provides data-driven insights to support planning and strategic decision-making. The role focuses on balancing service, cost, capacity, and waste while driving continuous improvement in reporting, master data integrity, and planning systems. Responsibilities Own and execute short- and mid-term inventory deployment decisions across plants, distribution centers, and regions to meet service, cost, and inventory targets. Proactively identify supply risks using horizon-based analysis that incorporates inventory levels, inbound timing, quality release status, and capacity constraints. Monitor system alerts, inventory imbalances, and service risks, and lead cross-functional efforts to resolve issues in a timely manner. Drive resolution of inventory imbalances and service risks through clear, timely decisions within defined guardrails. Make informed trade-off decisions between service, cost, capacity, and waste while operating within established parameters. Define and govern allocation strategies, prioritization rules, and inventory segmentation policies to support order fulfillment. Own the final decision on mitigation strategies in alignment with Order-to-Cash and Commercial inputs. Lead critical allocation decisions during constrained supply situations, balancing customer service requirements with broader business priorities. Communicate allocation strategies, service risks, and mitigation plans clearly to senior stakeholders and key partners. Actively engage with key stakeholders in planning forums to support effective supply chain and operational planning. Influence decision-making by providing data-driven insights, scenario modeling, and recommendations that align with business objectives. Ensure alignment between planning assumptions, operational constraints, and overall business goals. Develop and deliver reporting on key performance indicators such as COF, waste, capacity utilization, supply payload, and redeployment cost. Perform root cause analysis on service failures, inventory excess or shortages, and network inefficiencies to identify improvement opportunities. Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction, service improvement, and working capital optimization. Conduct scenario modeling and what-if analysis to support strategic and tactical decision-making across the supply chain. Own and maintain network planning master data within the planning system to support accurate planning and execution. Ensure data integrity and consistency in planning systems to enable reliable analysis and decision-making. Drive planning system and process improvements that enhance planning efficiency, visibility, and overall supply chain performance. Essential Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable decisions. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong overall skills in Microsoft Office; experience with Power BI is preferred. Ability to leverage AI-enabled tools and advanced analytics to support planning and decision-making. Experience working with planning systems such as SAP, OMP, or similar enterprise planning tools. Comfort working in data-driven environments and with large datasets, extracting insights that drive business outcomes. Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in an understandable way. Strong organization and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Ability to make timely decisions with imperfect data and prioritize practical solutions over escalation or analysis paralysis. 2–5+ years of experience in supply chain, demand or supply planning, transportation, or customer service. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in supply chain design, planning, logistics, and inventory management. Hands-on experience using SAP or similar enterprise resource planning systems. Experience using reporting tools and dashboards to track and communicate key performance indicators. Background in fast-paced, cross-functional environments where collaboration and responsiveness are critical. Demonstrated ability to analyze data and turn insights into concrete actions that improve performance. Familiarity with advanced analytics and business intelligence tools, including Power BI. Exposure to network planning, capacity utilization analysis, and waste reduction initiatives. Work Environment The Supply Chain Analyst works in a dynamic, fast-paced, cross-functional environment that relies heavily on data-driven decision-making. The role involves frequent collaboration with planning, logistics, commercial, and Order-to-Cash stakeholders through regular planning forums and ad hoc problem-solving sessions. Daily work centers around using planning systems such as SAP or OMP, Microsoft Excel, and business intelligence tools like Power BI to analyze large datasets, monitor system alerts, and develop insightful reporting. The position requires comfort with changing priorities, constrained supply situations, and complex trade-off decisions between service, cost, capacity, and waste. Work is primarily office-based or hybrid, focused on computer and system use, with a professional, results-oriented culture that values continuous improvement, clear communication, and proactive ownership of decisions. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Solon, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
