Fully Remote: Costpoint Specialist Job Description We are seeking a skilled Costpoint Specialist to support the maintenance of the Costpoint accounting system and shared service activities within the Contracts Department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, finance, and contract administration. This role involves ensuring compliance with various financial regulations and standards. Responsibilities Set up and perform day-to-day maintenance on direct projects using Deltek’s Costpoint 8.2 Project Setup Module. Review and ensure accuracy in contract setup. Assist Accounting and Contracts Administrators with billing issues. Help with contract reconciliation and de-obligations during contract closeouts. Support internal and external audits of contractual data, ensuring compliance with internal processes and external requirements. Participate in contract setup meetings for new projects and significant changes to existing projects. Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on Costpoint for the Contracts, Finance, and Accounting Departments. Communicate effectively within the team, the organization, and with customers. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills Minimum of 5 years of experience managing Costpoint for a $400M+ defense contractor with a Bachelor's degree, or 3 years with a Master's, or 10 years with a high school diploma. Experience managing Costpoint application for various contract types, including IDIQ, BPA, T&M, FFP, CPFF, and OCONUS work. Knowledge of governmental accounting policies and principles, including FAR/DFARS. Additional Skills & Qualifications Located in Huntsville, AL. Extensive contract setup experience. Experience with the Costpoint 8.2 Project Setup Module. Work Environment This position offers a remote work environment, ideally based out of Huntsville, AL, but other locations may be considered for the right candidate. The role requires 40 hours per week during standard business hours. The Costpoint Specialist will report to the Costpoint & Contracts Manager and work within a team of seven, including Administrators and Financial Analysts.
