Full Description

Job Title: Receptionist Job Description This position is responsible for handling initial contact with the company as it pertains to visiting guests, vendors, consultants, and telephone correspondence. The role ensures that guest requirements are met and performs a variety of clerical and administrative duties as needed. Responsibilities Control access to the facility, ensuring only authorized visitors are granted entry. Screen and grant access to secured locations, such as the front vehicle gate and lobby doors. Greet visitors, guests, vendors, and contractors courteously and respectfully. Check credentials and ensure all visitors are properly signed in and given guest passes. Notify employees of their guests' arrival and direct visitors appropriately. Attend to visitor needs, including stocking conference rooms and kitchens with water and coffee, coordinating lunch orders, and ensuring clean-up after meetings. Maintain stock levels of office and kitchen supplies, collect employee requests, monitor supply inventories, and submit orders as needed. Receive, review, and distribute incoming mail, calculate and post correct postage fees for outgoing mail, and maintain an inventory of mailing supplies. Run errands for supplies and miscellaneous needs as required. Handle miscellaneous office duties, including scanning, data entry, typing, filing, and compiling documents. Promote a safe and harmonious work environment. Maintain compliance with SOPs, GMPs, and all company policies. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office programs. Strong customer service skills. Experience in front desk operations, including answering phones and greeting visitors. Ability to handle clerical and administrative tasks efficiently. Additional Skills & Qualifications An Associate's Degree in business or a related field is preferred but not required. At least 2-5 years' experience in an office environment, including bookkeeping duties. General knowledge of payroll processes and effective customer service practices. Work Environment This is a full-time, on-site position from Monday through Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pm. The role is quite independent at the front desk and does not involve direct team collaboration. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Syracuse, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $20.00/hr.
